Chapter 4 - Hooked

Marcus POV

"It's time to wake up baby~" I groan, 'Who the hell...Wait!" I shoot up to see Lucy in my bed, wearing one of my shirts. "GET THE HELL OUT!" I push her off the bed and grab my gun.

You're probably wondering why I'm acting like this, well Lucy is a girl that I dated for a couple of weeks. She seemed fine until she started to act different, she became really bitchy and demanding for my money and items that she wanted. I quickly broke up with her when I saw her true intentions and in return, she tries to sneak into my house.

So far, she has never succeeded but always seems to escape the guns my men aim at her. I grab my gun and aim for her head, she seems shocked, "Get. OUT." She plays with her hair and winks at me, "Come on baby~ You know you want me~" I pull the trigger but she moves just in time. The gunshot echos through the house and my men barge in my room, once they see Lucy they already know what's going on. 2 of my men grab her and wait for my orders, "You know what to do." They drag her away and she starts to call out my name but I ignore her.

I stand up and point to one of my men, "Burn my sheets and get me new ones, please." He nods and I make my way to the shower to clean off my tainted body.

Mini Timeskip

I sit in my office checking up on a couple of things when I hear a weak knock. "Come in." The two men who dragged Lucy away came back beaten and in pain. I glare at them, "Let me guess, she got away?" They nod in shame and I slam my fist on the table, "How the hell did this happen!"

They both flinch, "A girl saved her, she fought us and we lost." I groan, rubbing my forehead in annoyance. "Then deal with the girl and find Lucy, make sure she's dead this time!"

They nod and limp there way out of my office.

Mini Timeskip

The day goes on and another weak knock fills the room, "Come in." 5 of my men come in with cuts, bruises, and black eyes. I'm a bit taken back by the sight, but I try my best to hide it.

"What happened?!" They all collapse on the floor and one of them speak up, "Boss we didn't believe them, we fought that girl and this is what happened to us." I sigh, "So you underestimated her?" They look down in shame, "Send 3 of my best men to deal with her." They nod and wabbled out of my room.

'Who the hell is she?'

Mini Timeskip

I start to get dinner ready for Ruby and me, "S-sir." I turn around to see my best 3 men beaten up worse than the others, blood, cuts and gunless.

"We're s-" I held up my hand, "Save it. Patch up in the infirmary." They nod and walk away. I preheat the oven and make my way to my office. I write a note on a sheet of paper and put it in an envelope. I make my way to the infirmary to see my men groaning in pain, I walk up to the only one standing and give him the envelope. He gives me a confused look, "Find the girl and give this to her." He tenses and shakes his head, I slap him in the face. "Grow a pair! Give it to her and report back to me when you're done."

I walk out and make my way to the kitchen, I finish making dinner and put our meal on the dinner table. Ruby walks down and places the food on her plate, I catch her up on the excitement that took place today which made her laugh her ass off.

"You should ask her to join you! Or maybe you should get better men~" She continues to laugh, and I take a sip of water, "I'm planning on doing more than that tomorrow."

Mini Timeskip

Ruby washes the dishes while I dry, "S-s-sir." I turn around to see the one I sent away looking like he's about to pee his pants. "Well, what did she say?"

"S-she agreed."

"Great, you may leave." He leaves as Ruby holds in her giggles. We finish up the dishes and we go our separate ways. Once I get into the fresh covers I feel a small ounce of excitement to meet this girl my men seem to fear.

Next Morning

I walk into a fancy cafe, waiting for my men to escort her here. As I sit and wait, I hear the bell ring. I look up, not a girl but a woman is following one of my men. She has dark skin and a large afro, dark brown eyes with an abnormal height, she's almost as tall as the man shes following. She has curves for days, the sun shining on her makes her look like a goddess. Her face shows no fear, she's calm, and she stands tall like she owns the earth she walks upon.

I try to hide the fact that I'm gawking at her but I feel like I'm failing. She sits in front of me, I look to my men, "You may leave." They all nod and leave as quickly as possible.

We stare at each other for a while, the tension once in the air quickly fading away. I hold out my hand, "My name is Marcus Roseno." She looks at my hand and returns the shake, "Imani Adams."

I let go of her hand and give her a small smile. "So you are the girl that makes my men shake in there boots?" She seems unfazed by my words, "And you are the boss of those annoying men?"

I chuckle a bit, I look at her in the eyes but I see nothing. "So why did you attack them?" She looks at me with ferocious eyes, "I saw them attacking a lady in the alley, so I stopped them. You would think your men would be smart enough to leave me alone. But they kept coming back like roaches."

I chuckle a bit, "They can be like that sometimes, and I apologize for interrupting your day." She looks at me in the eye and gives me a gorgeous smile, "Apology accepted." I take out my phone and slide it to her, "May I have your number."

She looks at the phone then at me, she seems hesitant. "To put it more plainly, I think you look gorgeous and you seem to have a nice mind in that head of yours. I would like to get to know you better, maybe for lunch this week."

She looks a bit shocked at my straightforwardness but giggles anyway, she puts in her number and sends herself a text.

She then gets up and hands me my phone, "Text me later." She gives me a sexy wink and I can't help but stares at her ass as she walks out.

"Damn, I'm hooked."
