Fulcrum! Ania realized with a start. She moved closer to the dais, listening while Fulcrum spoke."The Empire is not going to stop," Fulcrum said, her voice carrying over the crowd. There was one thing Vader was wrong about. Fulcrum was a she, not a him. "This new factory will begin to manufacture weapons and do you know where they will be tested?" Nervous murmurs began to weave through the crowd.
"What if they test them on us?" A Twi'lek next to Ania whispered.
"They will destroy us all!" Someone else answered.
Ania kept her mouth shut, picking apart the building storm within the room. Fulcrum raised her hand and the whisperings ceased. "I know you are all scared and worried. I promise you, we will not let anything happen. Several of you will likely be put to work within the new factory. We have a plan to halt their productions."
Ania leaned forward, listening intently. I can tell Lord Vader of their plans and stop the attacks before they even begin!
"Those of you who are chosen should do everything in your power to sabotage the new weapons. We must do it discreetly, however," Fulcrum warned. "These sabotages must be spread out and coordinated, making them appear like simple malfunctions. If the Empire learns of what we are doing, it could be the end of many people."
"The Empire should watch their backs," the same Twi'lek girl whispered.
"They won't know what hit em," a Weequay said nearby.
"Rebel scum," Ania hissed under her breath. She quickly glanced around, making sure no one had heard her.
"What about the Jedi? Where do they stand in all of this?" Someone called out.
A tall brown haired man stood up next to Fulcrum. He had a strange insignia painted on the armor on his right arm. His hair was pulled back in a pony tail and his turquoise blue eyes searched the crowd seriously.
"We will fight with you," he said.
Ania felt her breath catch. A Jedi! I didn't think there were any of them left. Her hand gripped the form of her lightsaber within her cowl.
"I will help also," Fulcrum said. "In what ways I can. The question is, are you citizens going to fight for yourselves?"
The crowd raised their fists to the air with a raucous cry. "We will fight!" Multiple people cried out.
"Then we wait until this factory is begun. We can take out the Empire right under their nose!" Fulcrum cried out.
Ania slowly began to inch her way out of the crowd. She wove back and forth between multiple citizens. Someone grabbed her arm. "Isn't this great? We're finally doing something about the Empire!"
Ania yanked her arm away and faded into the crowd before someone else could grab onto her. The crowd began to grow rougher, jostling her around. Someone bumped into her from the side, knocking her lightsaber loose. It clattered on the ground, the Imperial Insignia emblazoned on its side rolling into full view.
She watched with horror as someone stopped and picked up the saber. They held it aloft, crying out. "There's an Inquisitor here!"
The cheers of joy turned into screams of terror. Ania kept her shoto blade hidden under her cowl and tried to reach the person holding her lightsaber. Meanwhile, Fulcrum and the tall Jedi had leaped off the dais and come running. Ania halted in surprise, watching the person hand her lightsaber to Fulcrum.
