She called that gays name and then the lights went on. Bryle was standing behind her.
"Ganda.”
She stared at him for a long moment and blinked thrice. Realizing what was happening. The music started to play. Bryle held her hands and smiled at her.
“I know your heart is still in pieces. And I know that I can’t really mend it, but would you atleast allow me to help you ease those pain you’re feeling?”
Then she looked at her surrounding and saw her family standing at the far end of the room. They were all smiling at her.
“Before, my mom used to ask me if I’ll ever be serious to one woman. I said no that time. I was never into commitment, I don’t believe in such thing. But, when I met you everything changed.”
I was such a jerk. I wanted to pull her out of his sight but I can’t even make a single step. I was frozen, looking at what was happening before my eyes. Seeing the love of my life being snatched away.
Like him, I never believe in commitment. For me, women are all the same. It’s either they wanted me in bed, or they want my money. All the same... But when I met her, when she showed me how much she loves me, everything in me changed.
Don’t... I wanted to shout that word but failed to do so.
I tried to call her name but no words came out of my mouth.
I don’t know if I’m seeing things, but I saw my baby smiling at me. As if I heard her calling my name, telling me to stop what was happening.
“Bryle...”
And she called his name. I missed her voice. I missed her so much.
“Kimberly Miranda, you are the most beautiful woman in my eyes. I have found my worth in this world because of you. And I want to spend each day that God has given me with you.”
Please say no... I keep on praying inside my head. Hoping that she would say no.
She looked at her parents, maybe asking for their opinion. They smiled at her, giving their blessing. My heart started to break into pieces. Then baby Clarise laughed, her little laughter filled the room.
