Chapter 1: The day that changed my life.

Its my 8th birthday my dad give me a present "a present, thank you daddy" and took the present "it's something special, it's given from generation to generation now it's yours" he sat down on the couch watching me open his present.

I got it open there were three different things in it "what are these dad?" I look up to him "it's a key you need to put it together, then something is going to happen"

"Like what"

"to be honest I don't know I couldn't figure it out" he look down at the ground "im sorry, that I can't help you"

"... don't worry dad I figure it out..... somehow" I went to my room and tried to put the pieces together but it was harder than it looks.

After trying a lot of times I gave up "this stupid key's doesn't fit" I opened my widow and watch the snow fall on the ground and it melted away "how am I suppose to put them together" they don even fit "there completely different from each other"

I looked more closely my eyes widened "they're not suppose to become one key" then I heard a voice in the distance "the keys....... bring them to me" then I heard the clock loudly "bring them to me" and again a loud sound.

My dad came into my room "are you alright"

I look at him the look on his face was really worried "im fine" I look towards the giant clock in the distance "dad that clock is calling me"

"What can you hear it, please, no don't go, don't leave me" I was ready to jump out my window and fly towards the clock "don't worry dad I'll be fine I be back before you know it" I used my wings to get there.

I was near the clock "bring it to me" I heard and followed up with that loud noise, I quickly put my hands on my ears, I was about to lose my concentration I went to the nearest rooftop and staid put until the sound stopped.

"Doesn't he know that im coming, I need to hurry" I flew quickly as I can towards to clock I didn't know what the do so I flew around it didn't find any clue I went to the top to see anything there and there it was three holes I sat down at the top trying to put correctly in.

On top of each hol was a picture carved in I knew exactly how to put them in "alright that's it, I did it" I was so happy I was about to fly back "... you did it.." this time the sound was even louder I covered my ears but I blacked out.

My head hurts....

"Is she alright?"

"I don't know, she doesn't look hurt though"

"We can't leave her here"

"Lets take her t........"

I woke up in a unfamiliar room.

"Uh.. where am I"

"You're in the nurse office" a womanly voice said I didn't say anything back.

Two boys came inside the room

"She's up" one said happily

"Are you alright now, we found you on the ground near our school"

"You're the one's that saved me, thank you"

"We'll we couldn't leave you out there"

I went out of the bed and checked my surrounding but I didn't recognise this place.

"Are you new here we can show you around if you want...im Hide and this is Kaneki" both of them were just staring at me.

"fine" I said, hide put out his hand I wasn't sure to grab it or not I don't really trust them but I have a feeling they're not bad people, so I took his hand.

We went outside "the sun" I couldn't believe it this is the first time seeing a real sun "did you say something" I didn't reply back "you're a quiet one" it's not that im quiet but this place is so different the people are nice the sun is shining brightly.

"You know there is a ice cream shop nearby wanna eat some" hide asked me.

"Ice cream?..." I said in a soft voice.

Hide nods "you never had one before?" I remained silent. He took me by the hand and we stepped inside the shop.

"Good afternoon, what will it be?" A woman said "I want vanilla and.... a chocolate for her, and you Kaneki?"

"I want strawberry" Kaneki said Hide told us to wait outside Kaneki held my hand and took me out of the shop.

On the other side of the shop are benches we sat on them Kaneki was reading a book until Hide came "here you go strawberry for Kaneki and chocolate for you" this is the first time seeing this as well. I take it from hide and just stare at it. taste it Hide said "it's delicious" I said smiling and quickly eat it "my brain hurts" I hold my head the ice fell on my clothes.

"You not suppose to eat it that fast you get brain freeze!" Hide said "and she also dropped her ice on her clothes" Kaneki said.

"Im sorry, its all my fault" and I start to cry.

"don't cry it's not your fault" Hide panicked in front of me "uhm my house is nearby you can clean your clothes there" we went to Hide's home I was still crying.

"Here is the bathroom" I took a shower hide put some clothes in front of the door "if you need anything just ask alright" I did hear him but didn't reply back.

I dried my self and put the clothes on that hide left "is this boy clothing" I went to Hide's room.

"It looks cute on you and its a little to big" Kaneki laughed too "it really looks cute on you" I blow up my cheeks "stop laughing" I jumped on them and we all laughed.

"Finally we can see your smile you were upset al day" Hide said.

"Im sorry it's just I don't know where I am the place were I live is entirely different than this one, people are mean really mean, it always rains and snow's I live in a castle with my dad but there is no castle to be found here" I look down at my necklace my dad gave me.

"So your not from this world" Kaneki questioned me both of them were confused "I understand if you don't believe me but it was like this, I got three keys I used is on a clock and when I woke up I was in a completely different world, weird huh" I fake smiled at them.

"Wait, I-in a castle, d-does that mean you're a prinses" Hide his eye's widened as he questioned me "Well... castle, its more like a giant mansion, but im not a prinses the thing is we had a lot of money and our bloodline was different from the people that lived there, so they saw my dad as there king, but technically were the same" I answered Hide's look didn't change.

Kaneki looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall "is it this late already I need to head home... you haven't told us your name" he jumped of Hide's bed.

"I-its Amaya" I said softly. I was just thinking they might laugh at my name but I didn't hear anything "you've a cute name" Hide said.

Kaneki went home and before I knew it, it was raining "Amaya about that mansion, there's one nearby we'll go tomorrow if you want, and it seems that you don't have a place to stay, you can stay here if you want" Hide offered me to stay it's not like I can go anywhere else and its raining what good will it do if I go outside "can I?" He nodded I thanked him and I spent the night here.
