Both me and Johnny stopped kissing and looked at Brynn as if we had been caught red handed. And in a way, we had. Her mouth was agape and her eyes look like they were about to explode.
"I was just looking for you, Kenzie. They have a game of spin the bottle going on in the living room. But I'll let you go back to your... you know what" Her surprised face turned into a somewhat content expression as she looked at the two of us back and forth. Almost like she approved. She turned around and left Johnny and I alone. Again.
I looked at Johnny and he was just as shaken as I was. It was like the alcohol washed away and all was left was the thought that I kissed him. And he kissed me back. There was a reasonable excuse. I mean, we were drunk. Hell, we still are but before anything more happened I let go of him.
"It's better not to mention this to anyone." I said and Johnny nodded in agreement. His face turned into seriousness and I walked out of that haunted room.
I needed to forget that that ever happened. Even if I liked it. No. I had to forget. I grabbed a cup of alcohol and drank all of it before going to join Brynn at the game of spin the bottle.
When I sat down, Johnny came out of the room and sat down to join as well. It was Brynn's turn. She spun the bottle and it landed directly on Mark. He smirked as she walked over to him. She planted her lips on his and they spent at least 5 minutes making out in the middle of the room. I didn't know how Brynn did that. She always amazed me at her ability to seduce men but I guess we all have our talents.
It was finally my turn. I spun the bottle and watched as it almost landed on Johnny but ended on the guy just to his left. It was Brandon. A guy from my school who I didn't really know. He was nice though and I decided it didn't matter. It was just a game.
I walked over to him and kissed him. He kissed back. His lips soft and gentle unlike Johnnys fast and furious ones. He deepened the kiss and I let him. He tasted like a strange mixture of alcohol and mint. I pulled away and looked at Johnny who wasn't even there anymore.
I walked back to where I was sitting, confused. Why did he leave? Was he jealous?
Who am I kidding. He probably wasn't jealous and I didn't even care. I grabbed another drink and downed it all in one sip.
If Johnny was going to leave, I was going to make the most out of him not being there.
