Chapter 2: What's going on?

I woke up at 6:00am. Getting ready for school. I didn't sleep much since I couldn't sleep at all.

"Plane crash..."

Urgh stop it! I don't wanna hear about it anymore! I won't believe those news! Jayden won't just die like that... We were hanging out yesterday, he looks fine and we even text each other that night!

"Felicia... Felicia... Help me... FELICIA..!!!"

Urgh that voice , it keeps bothering me. Why does that voice keep echoing in my mind? And whenever I hear it, the more I feel uneasy. And the voice kind of sounded like Jayden... OMG FELICIA STOP THINKING ABOUT IT! Why would Jayden call your name anyways...

"We arrived at your school."

Oh , we are here! Today everyone will be cheerful and noisy since today is the last day of school! I'm sure I'll forget about those things later.

I walked into the school. I went to the canteen before I went to my class. All the students always gather at the canteen first before going to class. It's always noisy there, but it totally cheer me up.

"You guys heard?"

"Heard what?"

"About the plane crash yesterday!!!"

I heard some students mention about the plane crash, so I hide behind the bush and eavesdropping.

"I heard one of the student in our school were on that plane, is it true though?"

"I heard it was that popular guy who's always cheerful and friendly, I forgot his name though. He is in grade 9!"

"Isn't it Jayden???"

No. It's not him! What're you saying?! There's no proof that he was there right? Don't believe what you heard when you didn't see the truth .

"You know, we don't know the truth yet. I mean if he was in the plane, the news will mention his name. The list of passengers were not out yet. It has been reported that they'll reveal the passengers tonight!"

Yes that's right !

"But it's weird, I haven't seen him today. He is the earliest to arrive in school always!"

"Yeah. Even his sister is not here. They never missed school!"

I heard the girls keep talking about it. I don't wanna hear about it anymore . I'll just go to the canteen.

I went to the canteen . I saw a lot f people were whispering here and there. What happened? Fred was crying?

"Fred , it's ok! We are still here for you ." I heard people comforting him.

"We don't know the truth . He may be alive!"

Fred stand up, slammed the table and shouted "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S OK?! IT IS NOT OK AT ALL! HE WAS ON THE PLANE YOU IDIOTS! WE SAW ON THE NEWS THE PLANE WAS CRASHED IN THE OCEAN AND MOST PEOPLE DID NOT SURVIVE. AND THEY COULD NOT FIND HIS BODY. HE IS MY BEST FRIEND AND I AM WORRIED OK?!"

I saw Alice was sitting right beside Fred , but she didn't stop him. She just look around and she saw me.

" Oh, Felicia!" She called me.

" Wait... Felicia... Did you hear just now..?" She asked me.

I couldn't answer as I was really shocked by what Fred said.

Jayden was on the plane...? What is Fred saying...

"Felicia... Why are you crying?"

Now I just noticed, my tears were rolling down my my cheeks. I just realized how hurt I was to hear those words.

I ran out and went to the washroom, locked the door and sit on the ground while crying out loud.
