A faint ticking noise played on my window. I couldn't place it due my groggy state between awake and slumber. The persistent clicks finally stopped, but were quickly replaced with a thud. The loud noise startled me awake.
I plopped my covers onto the floor and hastily rose from my toasty bed.
The culprit behind the thud was Tucker and a handful of rocks .
I forgot about the Party!
I slid my window open to the chilly night.
"What took you so long? All this rock throwing is hurting my shoulder!" Tucker fussed
"Sorry, I forgot you were coming. I'll be ready in ten seconds." I apologized
I ran to my closet and put on a pair of ripped skinny jeans. I accessorized the jeans with my favorite brown combat boots and a flannel shirt. I braided my hair to the side then finished my look with some mascara and lip gloss. A glance in the mirror, and I was ready.
I climbed out my window and slid it closed. I crawled carefully along my roof to the lowest spot along the edge. I waited for tucker to stand beneath me before sliding off the roof into his arms. Tucker is really strong. The first time he told me to jump off my roof and into his arms I thought he was crazy. Now I'm flying off the roof.
"You look hot" Tucker said holding me
"Thanks" I said giving him a quick kiss
Tucker took my hand and we ran down the street to his gorgeous Harley. Tucker parks far away from my house to be extra cautious my brother doesn't find out about us.
Tucker handed me the keys, and my eyes instantly lit up. "I'm driving!?" I gasped in excitement. Tucker has NEVER let me drive his "baby".
"Just don't make me regret it." He said only half joking
"I love you!" I squealed as I straddled the ebony motorcycle
"I'm touched" Tucker teased
"Not you Tucker, the bike!" I said in a duh tone.
"How come it won't start?" I turned the key and nothing happened.
"Well sweetheart you have to turn on the kill switch" Tucker laughed "but first you need this" he handed me a pink helmet
"Not the stupid helmet again!" I complained
"I didn't pay 200 dollars for a pink helmet, just so you can refuse to wear it! Either you wear the helmet or I drive." Tucker smirked
I narrowed my eyes in agitation, but I didn't push the matter because I really wanted to drive. So I put the fish bowl helmet on my head.
Tucker strapped my helmet with a big grin. I don't understand why he insists on the stupid helmet anyway, he is not wearing one!
"Can we go now?" I asked impatiently
"Of course, start it up!" Tucker smirked
I turned on the kill switch and turned the key... and nothing happened! Tucker started laughing
"Fine, how do I start it?"
"You have to ask nicely" he said with his arms crossed across his chest
"Wll you PLEASE help me?" I snapped irritated
"Like you mean it"
"Dammit Tucker we are going to be late!!" I yelled
"Ok but you really need to work on being "nice" he said shaking his head
"You put the bike in nuetral then press the start button. The start button is right next to the kill switch."
I pressed the button and the bike's engine came to life.
Tucker tried teaching me how to ride the bike, but he needed more time to teach me. He also said that he would feel safer teaching me when it was light out. So, tucker drove to the party.
When we arrived Tucker went to get us some drinks while I looked for a bathroom so I could fix my helmet hair. I spotted the bathroom when I heard my brothers friend Ryan yell my name.
"Desi!"
I am in huge trouble!
"Why are you here Dee Dee?" Ryan smiled at me drunk. I ran off and prayed to god that he wouldn't remember me in the morning. I started making my way down the stairs to find Tucker when I saw two more of my brothers friends. I needed to find Tucker fast! I saw Tucker with two drinks and I ran to him.
"We need to leave right now!" I said clutching is arm
"What? Why? Are you ok?" He asked confused
"No! a bunch of my brother's friends are here, and someone is going to recognize me if they haven't already."
"Ok lets go" Tucker and I headed to the front door just as my brother James was coming in. I grabbed Tucker and pulled him to the back door before James saw us.
"That was close" I said gasping from my sprint to Tucker's bike
"Too close" Tucker said "We can't keep doing this Desi we need to tell your brother about us"
"But we agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone"
"That was before. I want you to be my girlfriend!"
He knows what this relationship is to me... no strings attached...that's what we both wanted. I mean, Tucker is a player.
"Tucker, I don't know what to say" I told him honestly
"I care about you Desi. Don't you want to be with me?"
"I'm sorry Tucker."
"I get it!" He said turning to leave
"Tucker wait!"
"I am sick of "waiting" Desi, we have been seeing each other for six months and you still haven't moved on"
"What are you talking about?" I exclaimed
"I am talking about Zane, he isn't coming back Desi! You need to move on and I am tired of waiting for you to get over him!"
"Whatever, your the one who is ruining this!" I yelled at him
How dare he bring Zane into this! I can't believe Tucker is doing this!
"Ruining what? We never had anything!" Tucker snapped at me
"Your right." Is all I said to Tucker. I turned back to the party
I hate the pain I feel in my heart when I hear Zane's name. I hate that I love him! Zane was my boyfriend for 2 years, and then he left me without even a goodbye.
I met Zane through one of my brother's friends. At first my brother didn't approve because Zane was a couple years older than me, but soon he started to accept him and they became really close friends.
Zane's POV
"Don't think irrationally son, your anger is clouding your judgment!" My father warned
He is so wrong, angry doesn't even touch how I feel right now. I am beyond livid. Tucker knows Desiree is my mate and he has been seeing her for 6 freaking months! I am going to kick his punk ass, then I am bringing my mate home.
I grabbed my phone and called Ryan my mate's protector.
"Hello Alpha Zane" He answered on the first ring
" Keep my mate away from that filthy pup!" I snarled "I will be there first thing tomorrow!"
