Chapter 2- Zane

Flashback

"You look beautiful tonight!" Zane told me as he held me close in his arms. We were laying in the bed of his pickup beneath the stars at our favorite spot by the lake. 

Present

I was shaken awake by my history teacher Mrs. Long  "Did you have a nice nap?" She scowled irritated with me

"Yes, until you ruined it" I snapped back

"Principles office!" She yelled pointing to the door

"My pleasure" I smirked at her

I went down to the principles office to see my brother already sitting in the waiting area. 

"Well that was fast" I commented to him

"Shouldn't you be in class?" My brother asked suspicously

"I got sent to the principles office" I shrugged sitting in the knotty chair 

"What, are you kidding me!? School started 15 minutes ago!"

"Why are you here?" I changed the subject

"To talk to your counselor"

I rolled my eyes. Kevin was a total joke. He has been trying to "fix" me since freshmen year when my parents died. I didn't completly dislike Kevin. He is pretty hot for a shrink. Plus during our "sessions" I get to miss class. 

Kevin came out of his office. "Thanks for coming James" Kevin said shaking my brothers hand 

Kevin looked over and saw me sitting in the "knotty" chair. 

"Mrs. Long?" he asked

"Yup."

Kevin smiled and shook his head.

"You might as well come to, since you are already here." Kevin told me

"Ok Kev, can I have a donut?" I asked pointing to the box sitting in the teachers lounge

"Sure and grab me one"

I picked up two maple bars and started to walk to the Kevin's office when a hand grabbed my wrist. I turned to see a really messed up looking Tucker.

"I'm so sorry for what I said!  Can we talk?" He asked me

 I don't feel like talking, but Tucker looks like crap. I should make sure he is ok.

"I have to talk to the counselor right  now. How about during 6th period? We both have gym, and there is no teacher right now. "

He nodded "Ok"

I went to Kevin's office and handed him the donut before sitting down in my usual seat.

"So what is this about?"

Kevin looked at me sympathetically. "Your new Gym teacher"

"What, about the new gym teacher?" I questioned

"It appears you two have had a relationship before." Kevin spoke carefully

"Who is the new Teacher?" I asked

There was a nock on the door.

"Come in" Kevin said

In walks the guy who broke my heart. Zane.

He looked surprised to see me. "What are you doing here?" He questioned me

"I got kicked out of class" I shrugged "What the hell are you doing here?" I asked with pure hostility.

"I am a teacher here" He said looking a bit hurt

I about choked on my maple bar. Zane is my is my new PE teacher?!

I turned my head away from Zane and looked at my brother. "You knew about this!" I shrieked

James grimaced "I didn't know how to tell you."

"I want to drop my gym class!" I told Kevin

Kevin shook his head, "It is a required course that you need  to graduate"

"Then I won't graduate!"

"Don't be ridiculous." Zane told me

"You shut up! You don't get to say one freaking word!" I yelled at him

I stood from my chair. "I better get back to class."

Only I didn't go to class I locked myself in a bathroom stall. I so do not know how to handle this.

I spent 2 periods in the bathroom yelling "Who does he think he is?" and contemplating ways to hurt and kill Zane then I received a text from Tucker. 'where r u?'

I came out of the stall and looked at my reflection fixed my hair and texted 'on my way'

I dreaded walking into the gym! Hopefully Zane isn't starting his job today.

Tucker came up to me and wrapped his arms around me."What's going on?" his eyes pleading for an answer

"Nothing. I want to be with you."

I know it was  wrong of me to do this but I gave him a huge kiss in front of everyone. I wrapped my hands in his hair as he clutched my waist. I care about Tucker and part of me wants to be with him, but   the other part of me want to get back at Zane. 

Zane's POV

I walked into the gym to find Desiree, my mate kissing Tucker on the bleachers. She looked way too happy, and I know it is all my fault. She has moved on.

I was going to go talk to her when I saw that infuriating pup Tucker come and wrap his arms around my mate!

I felt like ripping him to shreds, but I went to my new office instead. It was all I could do to not kill him! 

Desiree looks so beautiful.

She looks even more beautiful then she was last year, and she has always been stunning. I have missed her so much!

My friend Kevin helped me get a job as a gym teacher. James thought it was a bad idea, but how else am I supposed to see my mate? She hates me! This is the only way I can see her everyday and keep an eye on her.

I plan to earn her forgiveness and tell her everything. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Desi!

I heard the rather loud crowd that accumulated in the gym. I grabbed my clipboard and whistle to start attendance.

I went through the entire list one student at a time. There were only two absent students. My mate and the pup. I don't want to think about where they are and what they may be doing.

Tucker's POV

I drove Desiree to my house because she begged me not to take her home. 

She kept talking about Zane and how much she hates him and her brother James. 

That asshole Zane broke her heart! He must have left because he realized she was my mate.

She is my mate!

 He is torturing Desi. I need to talk to him. My mate has already had a hard time opening up to me and I'm afraid that him being here is going to make it worse.

I won't lose my Mate!
