Chapter 4- What is Going on?

After playing hooky for two days with Tucker, I’m ready to face Zane. I’m having to practically force Tucker to take me home. Tucker has been really on edge. I can tell he is trying to hide something. He and his best friend Brent were talking really seriously and once they realized I was in the room they both stopped talking.

I decided to wait in Tuckers truck instead of arguing with him.

Finally after 15 minutes Tucker joined me in his Ford.

“I wish you would stay.” He attempted pleading with me one last time

“I’m not staying” I said seriously

“Fine.” Tucker spat in defeat

He started the truck and backed the truck up to take me home.

“I get what you’re trying to do.” I’m guessing his odd behavior is because of Zane

“Is that right?” Tucker chuckled and grinned a heart melting smile.

“You’re jealous of Zane” Tuckers smile was replaced by an angered red face and clenched fists.

“I am not jealous of him.” Tucker hissed, though his reaction gave me proof otherwise

“Tucker, I get it. I really do, but trust me Zane is in my past." I said trying to reassure both Tucker and myself

Tucker nodded but I could tell he didn’t agree with me. The rest of the car ride was rather quiet.

I finally arrived at home and Tucker walked me to my door. I was about to let myself in and Tucker whisked me around to face him and then crashed his lips on mine while embracing me tightly.

“I just don’t want to see you get hurt.” He hugged me tighter

Before I could even react to the kiss Tucker was walking back to his truck. I quickly slipped inside the door.

“What the hell were you thinking disappearing like that? Do you have any idea how worried I’ve been? Were you with that Tucker kid? You know I don’t like him!”

“I don’t want to hear it James!” I yelled while running to my room.

I don’t know how to deal with everything that has happened in the last 3 days.

Zane is back. So many nights I cried myself to sleep wishing he would come back. Meanwhile I was falling for Tucker and not even realizing it, yet a part of me has and always will love Zane.
