Chapter 3- The Attack

Tucker's POV

"Are you sure they were not rogues?" I asked my beta Jeremy

"Positive, they were too skilled and organized. They had a tacticle plan. It was a pack." 

I pressed my fingers to the bridge of my nose. "Was it Zane?"

"No Sir. We contacted his father and this is not the doing of their pack."

"Double the patrols and make sure the women and children stay close to the house."

he nodded "Who could have done this sir?"

"I don't know, but they have declared war with our pack." 

Desi's POV 

I woke up to find myself in Tucker's bed. My memories from yesterday came back in a rush. Zane is back. I can't beleive James knew and didn't tell me!

I heard a light nock on the door. 

"Come in." 

It was one of Tucker's house maids. 

"Master Tucker left a note for you" she said sounding somewhat irritated

She handed me the paper and left. I wonder what her problem is.

' Good morning! I'm sorry, I had to leave. I didn't want to wake you. I have to take care of a problem with my dad's business, but I will be home at eleven. If you need to leave before then my brother can take you home.  Help yourself to the kitchen. Our chef Leo will prepare whatever you like. Ask the staff  for anything else you need.  Love, Tucker ' 

I went to Tuckers bathroom and washed my mascara clouded face. 

I picked up my phone to look at the time and it was full of calls and texts from James and Zane. I ignored them and found out it was just after ten. I turned off my phone and decided to eat breakfast while waiting for Tucker.

There is no way I am going home.

I wandered through Tucker's stunning mansion until I found the kitchen. I entered the extravagent room  and there was a small man working away at the stove top. He turned to me with a huge smile "You must be Desiree! I have scones, muffins, pancakes, waffles, croissants, bagels,  and donuts in the warmer." he exclaimed excitedly.  "There is banana bread in the oven. How do you like your eggs?"

"Is this all for me?"  I asked in shock

" No dear, I feed the whole pa...  all the employees, but I can make you anything you like" He laughed lightly 

 His cheerfulness made me smile "I would love one of those muffins." I pointed to the steaming chocolate bread. 

"Good choice!" he handed me a chocolate chip muffin "Would you like anything else?"

"No thank you this should be plenty, but if you don't mind I would like to help  until Tucker gets back"

His eyes lit up "I would love your help!"

"Great, what should I do?"

"Can you cook the bacon?" 

"Sure can!" I smiled happily

Zane's POV

As I woke up my head began to explode and my body was on fire. The silver chains holding me were unbarable. 

How did this happen?

I was pacing Tucker's pack's border with my phone to my ear. I kept getting Desi's  voicemail. I couldn't take it  any longer! I had to find her! Three of my fighters showed up to help me get Desi. 

I crossed the border, and immediatly shifted. 

Thats all I remember. Something happened.

I have to find Desiree!

I know the story hasn't gone anywhere yet, but bear with me I have a plan!!
