"Hey!" I hug my sister as she opens the door
"Amanda! I'm so glad you made it! Everyone's inside!"
I walk in to be greeted by the scent of salt and delicious foods. At the table I see a handsome guy with short brown hair, and glowing blue eyes. He's kind of heavy though, maybe two hundred and eighty pounds, but he's about six foot two. My sister was really chubby, and though she's still heavy, her fat has distributed, and her weight is more balanced out.
Also at the table, is a meat loaf, with mashed potatoes, and gravy. My parents are sitting down, my dad talking to Micheal. "Hello!"
"Mandy!" My mom cheers, getting up
She looks older, more wrinkles on her face, and her hair has more streaks of grey, "Hey mom!"
I hug her, and the familiar scent of her hair spray tickles my nose.
"Hi I'm Michael" her fiancé stands up, giving me a hug
"I'm Amanda" I nod
"Actually, before I even knew Ashlyn, I saw you at Warped Tour"
"Oh really?" I smile, and he nods "How long have you two been together?"
"Almost two years now" he nods, and my eyes widen "We're not gonna get married for a while" he laughs "But I wanted to make sure she knew that she was the woman I wanted to marry"
"Awe, baby" my sister kisses him, and I stick out my bottom lip
"You guys look so happy!"
"You know Ashlyn's making one hundred twenty thousand a year now!"
"Oh wow" I nod
"How much do you make?" My dad asks Michael
"Dad!"
"No it's okay babe" he chuckles "I just started my position as a psychologist at a High school. I'm making roughly sixty thousand a year after taxes. I'm hoping on moving to an actual Uh- mental health hospital, but for now, this is what I'm doing"
"Cool" I nod
"I heard you do YouTube now" my dad says
"Ashlyn told you?" I laugh
"We've watched your videos" my mom nods
"Oh god" I laugh
"You cuss a lot"
"Love that" I laugh, sitting down at the table
"Do you have any men in YOUR life?" My mom asks
I raise my eyebrows then laugh, "Nope! I'm single, and not looking"
"You should-"
"I'm only nineteen" I tell her "I have my whole ass life to find someone"
If only I could have the person who was there since the beginning... Cole. I'm still thinking about him? Wow I should just get over him... it's been A YEAR. But I can't. He will ALWAYS have a place in my heart.
"I guess your right" she sighs
We start eating, and the meal is pretty good. I actually don't really like meatloaf, but I'm not puking, so that's good! Love that. I missed my parents... I didn't really realize it till I saw them, but they seem happier, and more healthy now.
The next day, my sister and her Fiancé have work, leaving me and my parents here at the house. "We should go do something"
"Like what?" I smile
