"He doesn't even call us anymore!" Yunho sighed, fall face-first on a resting Mingi, the latter letting out a big "oof!" due to the impact."It's been only two days! You're just too dramatic, can you let them breathe for a minute?"
"I can.. but I really feel like I'm spending less time with Hwa lately, and before you talk; I already know what you are about to say. "you're always overreacting to stupid things." And what about it? I'm.. miserable." He huffed and wrapped his long arms around his lover's waist, trying to gain warmth in that hug.
Mingi, on his side, sighed yet again. He knew he had always been the calmer and more down-to-earth one in the couple, but this was turning absolutely ridiculous.
When Seonghwa and Hongjoong had came out to them as a couple a few of weeks ago, they had of course been the happiest for their best friend— after all the rants they had heard from the taller about how he loved the smaller, he would finally shut up. (not that it was irritating, it was funny.. once.)
But as the weeks went by, Yunho's mood started to drop, as well as Seonghwa's sunday visits, he still came regularly tho! just.. not enough in his best friend's opinion. Mingi knew that it was totally normal, and knew that he needed to spend time with his lover as much as possible— due to his recent knowledge about Hongjoong's true self.
But that didn't sit well with the older. He started throwing random and childish tantrums about how "this bitch is ignoring me! after everything I did for him!" or just cry in remembrance of his long lost "Seongie", and that's what was ridiculous. Because first; Seonghwa was in nowhere ignoring them, and Second; they were exactly like the two, all over each other's faces when Seonghwa was constantly third wheeling. Which the other didn't view it this way at all.
"Yunho, shut up. You're ridiculous." Mingi sighed (again), "And get up, you're heavy."
Yunho, whose hair was freshly dyed blue, quickly bounced as he sat right up, hearing the tone of Mingi's voice. And that tone meant that either there was no food left, or that something concerning Yunho's behavior was wrong; The fridge was full.
He tilted his head to the left. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
"Are you serious? You can't see what's wrong? But hear yourself speak for god's sake! You've been complaining non-stop about how Seonghwa did this or that when in reality, you're the exact same. You gotta let the boy breathe for a fucking second, you're starting to act like his mom when you're not!" He softly let his hand brush his hand, taking a breath as he stared right at Yunho's sad eyes. "Don't look so sad.. I didn't say anything remotely bad."
"I.. I know.. b-but I miss my Seongie!" Yunho pouted, before going back in shoving his head on Mingi's chest.
"What are you, five?" He lowly laughed. "There's nothing wrong with missing someone when they're gone for a long time, or wanting to spend more time with them. But what you're doing is plain dumb. What are you so sad over? That your best friend is finally getting better? That he feels loved and is with someone that is good for him? Or that you can't appropriate him and control all his doings anymore? Yunho, you know I'm in love with you, and I love every ounce of your being. But right now, you're being a complete ass."
The blue haired stared at his lover with eyes wide open, jaw probably ready to smash on the floor. He was left speechless, not knowing what he could answer to those now obvious facts.
He was right, he was completely right, and now that realization had hit him, he just wanted to bang his head on the nearest wall to punish him for being the awarded biggest dumbass of 2019.
All this time, all the time he had spent sulking over absolutely nothing, he had not imagined even once that the thoughts that ate him up inside were toxic and totally wrong. Seonghwa did not belong to him in any way, and he couldn't be his only friend or acquaintance at all; that was a messed up thing to think. He thought that what he felt was purely innocent; he wanted to have fun with his best friend. And the fact was that he did! Seonghwa always came whenever he wanted to, except a few times when he had something with Hongjoong to do. They had fun and absolutely nothing had changed, but Yunho was minding so much about the fact that it wasn't always that he forgot about everything else.
He felt rather sad now, but mostly, he felt dumb, real dumb. Because all the time he had spent complaining, he could've spent time with his own boyfriend, live his own life like anyone else.
"Shit, you're right.." He sighed. "I'm a dumbass."
"Damn right you are, golf ball sized brain."
"Shut it! I'm trying to think! What do I do now? I.. oh my god! Why did such things even cross my mind? The bitch I am!" The tall man was now fully standing up and pacing back and forth between the sofa and the tv. "I have to make up to my Seongie. He must have seen something was wron—"
"No, he didn't. Come here." Mingi softly patted his lap, and the other quickly found himself there, no words leaving his mouth anymore. "Calm down, okay? Yes, what you did was wrong, but you can't change the past, and I'm the only one who noticed it, so that's okay. What is done is done, that's it, and you can't sulk all life for that, move on! now that you've realized it, you can fully enjoy life and appreciate the present; like now. So stop thinking about meaningless thoughts and cuddle me, please."
And with that, both knew that the conversation was done, so a tiny smile crept on Yunho's face as he waddled up to wrap a blanket around the two of them, cuddling up as they listened to the calming silence.
