march 14: holland, 10 weeks pregnant

cameron's pov

i wake up with my beautiful girlfriend in my arms, i take in the view of her cute little room while all the events and drama from last night come flooding into my mind. i sigh and kiss holland's forehead as i step out of bed to go take a shower. i still can't believe i'm going to be a father of two at sixteen years old, i can't imagine how holland must feel. she has to carry two babies inside of her for months and then give birth, all while being sixteen and juggling schoolwork. she's amazingly strong.

"good morning, baby." i hear holland say as i step out of the bathroom. she's sitting on the bed with a book in her hand. i smile at her.

"hey cutie." i walk over to her and kiss her lips. she blushes and giggles, she's so cute. i check my phone only to see a paragraph of a text message from my dad.

dad- hey cameron. your mom and i are going out of town for a little bit to visit your grandmother, i think that it'll help her come to terms with everything. we'll be back on monday, and i have already talked with holland's parents who are happy to let you stay at her place. we both love you so much, son. see you soon.

i put down my phone and look at holland. "what?" she asks me.

"look at this." i show her the message, "i guess i'm with you for the weekend."

"i guess so. dang, i hope your mom comes around after this 'weekend getaway'." she grins slightly.

"me too." i smile, i want my relationship with my parents to go back to normal but for now, holland and i get a weekend to ourselves and that's something to be happy about. i place a strand of her soft hair behind her ear and kiss her, she kisses back eagerly. i grab her face and the kiss gets more passionate. that's when her brother, reid, opens the door.

"hey holland, mom told me to tell you that we're going out to breakfast so.." he stops when he sees me and holland, "woah, gross.". we pull away and holland's face turns bright red. "anyway, hurry up you two." reid adds and walks out of the room. we both erupt with laughter.

"sorry!" we both instinctively call to her brother. we both get ready and meet her family downstairs.

holland's pov

i'm kinda shocked that cameron's parents went away for the weekend, but i think that it'll be good for them. i honestly don't know why she's so mad about everything. it's understandable for her to be disappointed and upset for a while but she's known for a week, and she's normally very accepting and kind.

"holland?" cameron says pulling me out of my thoughts, "what do you want to do today?".

i think for a moment and then answer, "i need to go talk to my cheer coach, to tell her that i can't be captain anymore, so she can go ahead and pick someone else.". i frown, thinking about the position that i worked so hard for.

cameron gives me a sympathetic look and puts his hand on my shoulder. "okay, we can go do that." cameron says softly. another scary thing about telling her today is that she'll have to tell the team that i quit, and they know i'd never quit something this important to me unless i had to. which will probably spark many rumors, leading to people finding out about the pregnancy. i have a feeling that come monday, i'll have to publicly announce the pregnancy.

"hey holl! what's up?" my cheer coach, katie, exclaims as she opens her door to let me and cameron in, "oh, hi cameron! good to see you again.".

"hey." cameron says with a small, nervous smile.

"hi coach, i really need to tell you something." i say as i already start to get emotional. i've been cheering since i was 7 years old, and now that i finally have the coveted position of captain on the top competition team, i have to quit.
