march 17: holland, 10 weeks pregnant
i jolt awake at the sound of my alarm and i feel that familiar sick feeling. luckily, it goes away after laying down for a couple more minutes. i'm supposed to meet cam at the coffee shop in about 40 minutes so i get ready pretty quick. today i'm wearing some ripped jeans and a now tight yellow shirt, because there's no need to hide my pregnancy anymore. looking in the mirror is crazy now, my bump has grown so much in just a few days. for my makeup, i decide to go simple and just wear some light foundation and lip gloss. "you look cute, holl." my mom says as i walk down the stairs.
"thanks mom! i have to meet cameron at the coffee shop in about twenty minutes, he told me that his parents told him something crazy." i say while grabbing a bottled water from the fridge.
"remember, no coffee!" my mom reminds me as she places her hands on my bump.
"i know, i'm just going to get a muffin or something." i smile and look down at my little babies. my mom and i talk for about ten minutes about school and everything until i have to drive to the coffee shop.
i get there and i see cameron already in our usual booth. i smile at him and he stands up to hug me. "hey baby, what did you want to tell me?" i say, sinking into his embrace and starting to get a little worried.
"why don't we order and i'll tell you after?" he says and i nod. we walk up to the counter and order.
"hello! what can i get you two today?" the man at the counter says with a kind smile.
"hey! i'll have a medium iced vanilla latte and a blueberry muffin." cameron says and then looks at me.
"can i get a cinnamon muffin and just a medium cup of ice? thank you." i say and cameron smirks at me.
"sure thing. your total is $11.45." the man says and cameron and i both begin to get out our wallets.
"let me get it." i say, he paid for us last time.
"nope, i really should pay for it." he says suspiciously and i slowly nod. he pays and we sit down.
"why did you just order ice? not ice water?" cameron says with a slight laugh.
"i don't know, i'm just craving ice." i smile.
"your baby bump looks so cute today." cam says with the hugest smile.
"thanks, i figured that since we don't have to hide it anymore, i might aswell show it off." i say, "and now can you tell me why you wanted to meet me here?" a waitress brings us our food as i finish my sentence, we both thank her and then get back to talking.
"when i got home last night, my parents were sitting at the table with my older brother and i was like, 'what's going on?' and they told me that my great uncle bert died." cameron starts.
"wait, the millionaire one?" i ask, my eyes flashing in recognition. i remember going to a family reunion with cameron a year ago and meeting him. he was literally mean to everyone but cameron and i.
"yeah, and my parents told me that i was the only person in his will. like, he left everything to me, all his money, everything." he says, still looking shocked.
"cam, i'm so sorry that he died." i frown.
"it's fine, we weren't even that close, he just said that i reminded him of his childhood best friend and that's why he liked me. the crazy part is that i'm now a literal millionaire." he says to me with wide eyes. it didn't register to me until now that cameron is literally inheriting millions.
"that's absolutely insane, cam! are there any, like, conditions?" i ask.
"well roughly 4 million of it is in a trust that i can't open until i'm 18, but the other 2 million is in my name, right now." he says and my jaw drops, "we don't have to worry about anything financial wise for the babies. it's insane, i mean they'll be wearing baby gucci!".
"that will be something." i laugh, "i can't believe this!".
"holland, i could buy us a house. at 16. it's so weird." cameron says, "and i know it's a little early to be talking about this but, what will happen when the babies are born? would we move in together or would i just stay with you and your parents for a few weeks?"
"i don't know." i answer truthfully, i kinda assumed the latter but that was before cam became a literal millionaire, "the dream option would be to buy a house and for us to live together but we're only 16. we still have school and i don't know if that's allowed."
"if we wanted to we could just do online school for the rest of high school and legally we can move out. but it's whatever you want to do." cameron grabs my hands.
"if we do, can it be in the neighborhood, close to our parents?" i smile.
"of course." he answers.
"it sounds really great but we should talk to our parents first and figure everything out. we have time." i giggle.
"yep, we do." cameron smiles. the thought of buying a house and moving in with cameron is amazing but it's also kinda scary, growing up so fast, but i guess i have to grow up fast, having twins at 16. but like i said, we have time to figure everything out, i'm only 10 weeks pregnant.
walking into school, i feel nervous again. it's like, i know that everyone already knows, but i'm afraid of how people are going to treat me and cam. i spot juliana as soon as i walk into the school and run up to her. "hey!" i say excitedly.
"hi holl! why are you so energetic this morning? remember, you can't have coffee when you're pregnant." she says with a smirk. i roll my eyes and look at cameron, he nods, which lets me know that i can tell juliana.
"first of all, i didn't drink coffee, of course. and cameron just told me that he just inherited millions of dollars from his great uncle." i say, probably still looking just as shocked as before.
"wait, what?! that's insane, guys." juliana says with a surprised look on her face, "and cameron, because i'm also so nice to you, could you pretty please get me concert tickets to see taylor swift?"
cameron and i both laugh. "i'll think about it." cameron smiles.
author's note: hi guys! so this is kinda a filler chapter but cameron is a freaking millionaire!!
