Unfortunately it was time for me to go back to town so the princess would do her sword training on her own. I was taking Widow back with me but I had to convince North to let me. He is always acting like my father it's very annoying. The carridge was quiet like normal. Widow slept on my lap in his cat form.
"I guess you were wrong about them asking if I wanted to be a captain", I told North breaking the silence.
" They did. They asked me if I was ready and I said", North said not really paying attention.
"Why?", I felt my heart break.
"You've been acting more like a child. Start acting like adult", North said writing things down.
He said I was ready but I can't do it anymore. I felt so lied to. Widow woke up and rubbed his head against my chin. Ren was asleep so he heard nothing. I keep my tears inside although I wanted them to rain down.
"If I'm acting more like a child why am I even here? Is it because I'm just a prophesied savior? ", I asked North not looking up at him.
"Anora stop acting like this", he said annoyed.
" It is! Do you forget I am 14? I may be a soldier and probably be traumatized having no emotions like you. But, sir I am not like that. I have many emotions!", I laughed.
"I didn't mean it like that", he said rolling his eyes.
"No North you did mean it like that. One day I'll have a higher position then you'll ever have and that's a fact", I said confidently as the carridge stopped.
I woke up Ren and we walked out of the carridge. Me and Widow walked home alone even though it started to rain. Widow seemed to like the water which was a good thing. It was night and it was warm although the rain. I heard someone running behind me.
" Anora!", I heard Ren yell.
I looked to see him frantic and I asked, "what?"
"Why are you out in the rain?", he asked be breathing heavily.
" It feels nice", I said simply.
"You'll get sick", he sighed walking next to me.
" How did you know I was out in the rain?", I asked him.
"I was at the nurse house", he said, " Then I saw you. You okay?"
"North has been getting on my nerves lately", I said frustrated.
" It's only because he wants you to be successful ", Ren said looking out into the rain.
" I don't need him for that", I said, "he's not my father".
" Anora without me or North you wouldn't have been able to fight in the battle ", he said.
" True", I sighed then we reminded in silence till Ren asked.
"When is your birthday?"
"We didn't celebrate birthdays in my town. Every year they would tell us our new age. So I'm 14 or 15. I don't know", I said.
" I have a theory ", Ren said looking off to the side.
"What is it?", I asked looking at him.
"What if your mother was a deadly sin?", he said still not looking at me, " The sin of lust".
"Well that would explain how she got all those people to join her and Mammon's side", I said nodding my head stepping on the stairs to my new house, " Good night".
I closed the door and fell quick asleep and then a dream came.
I could hear children's laughter but it wasn't scary. Then I saw all my siblings playing together. As they played something happen. They were getting shot one by one.
"Anora stop", one said.
" You killed us", another screamed.
But I didn't kill them. Mother did!
