At times, I want to take you
To a candle-lit, rose-strewn dinner,
Eat tiny portions of expensive food,
Watch the sun set in the horizon
And the first stars shine in velvet skies,
Take your soft hands in mine
And carefully press my lips to yours,
In a pathetic attempt to convey
The deepest emotions (that one day
Planted their roots into the walls
Of my heart, and grew steadily on,
Until my being was encased firmly
In the limitless feeling that is love),
So that you entirely understand that
You are the water and the sun,
And my love would not have grown
Without your presence. At other times I want to take you
Skydiving. It sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.
