I wake up the next morning feeling run down and tired. I run my hands all over my face noticing that I feel a bit sore and unusually tired. Why am I this tired and sore, I didn't do anything that would make me feel like this? I decide to not overthink anything and just get ready. I pick out som comfy leggings and a t shirt and a pair of Nike tennis shoes that River bought for me. I walk over to my dresser unplugging my phone from its charger and then I feel a terrible throb in my head. I clutch at my temples slowly rubbing it to hopefully soothe the pain and soon it's just a dull ache. Oh frick I just remembered that I'm grounded frittle sticks! Now I'm going to have to ride the bus home today ....just great. I know River is going to have a fit.

At school
I open the front entrance door to see a laughing pipsqueek looking down at her phone and as soon as she looks up she sees me. She drops her phone in her locker and runs over to me jumping up and down like a giddy little girl and I laugh at her antics.

" what's so funny!" She just sweets when I ask her

" I got us gifts!!!" She says with pride in her voice. Why would she get me a gift? No friend of mine has ever gotten anything for me and it actually feels nice to have a real friend.

"You didn't have to do that but thank you. Soooo what is it?"

" your gonna love it! I got us matching outfits and charm bracelets. I want us to be matching this Friday for twin day fro the yearbook picture. It will look so cute on us both and omg just yay I finally have a girl best friend now!" She finishes but then hugs me super tightly. Who would have thought that such a tiny girl could be so strong.
She pulls a shopping bag out of her book bag that was on her shoulders and takes out a pink shit with the words Mine is better than yours with an arrow pointing towards the right and the other shirt is purple with the same lettering but the arrow is pointing towards the left. She hands me the purple one and she take out a pair of light washed capri American eagle jeans. I check the size and to my amazement it is my exact size 8, I feel kind of embarrassed right now because she wears like a size 2 or 4. She looks up and notice my embarrassment flushed face.

" I know what you are thinking and I am telling right now that you better snap out of it. Let me tell you girl, you are hot these girls in this school would kill to have your ass and tits not to mention you are incredibly beautiful. So stop ok?." Her words snap me back into reality and I'm kinda thankful for it to be honest. I just nod my head at her in agreement,

" Thank you! And thanks for your speech it made me feel better."

" what am I for?" She says

The bell rings and everyone starts walking to there class. I see River by my locker waiting for me. I make my way over and my head ache comes back but not as strong as before.

" hey baby cakes ready for class?" He asks

" yea I say."

He looks at my face up and down and something flickers in his eyes I'm just not sure of what though. He looks concerned now and he brushes his hand over my face soothingly.
" you ok?" He asks genuinely

" I just have been having on and off headaches all day and I'm not sure why."

He looks a bit nervous but I'm not sure why. He grabs my hand and pulls me into the storage closet. He turns the light on and looks into my eyes.

" I have something to tell you."

What the hell could it be this time he is acting strange like the way he did when he told me his secret.

" your getting closer and closer to 18 and that means that your closer to awakening." He says but I have no idea what he is talking about. I can se the stress written all over him. He runs his hands up and down his face muttering incomprehensible words and pulling at the end of his hair. His arms flex and the veins in his arm pop out even more.
" your going to have to be a bit more freaking clear here.!"

He looks up at me and his eyes look nervous

" just spit it out"

" your getting your witch powers right now. Like the prophecy said you would." He says rushed and he looks at me worriedly. He fucking should be worried he knew this and didnt tell me?!?!?!

" why the hell!!" I start feleling little sparks fall off of my hands and I look down and I jump because of what I'm seeing Rivers eyes follow mine as well and his eyes go wide. His green orbs staring into my violet ones. I try to calm down and that helps the sparks coming from my hand.

" your getting them quicker than I thought you would."

He takes my hand and leads em out of the school.

" where are we going?"

" to my house I have to ask my parents about this and we need to make some plans for you to learn how to use your powers." I stared at him in shock, so he is going to make me train. Things couldn't have gotten weirder.
