Crap

An alert from my phone jolts me awake and in a sitting position. Fuck! I completely forgot about my mom.Shit, shit,shit. I grab my phone and turn it on my eyes widening at the sight of 4 missed calls from my mom and 15 text messages. I open and read them.

Ok your probably with your friend just call me please
I tried calling why didn't you answer
Ebony Winters
You better answer
Where are YOU!
You are soooo grounded
Im getting worried
Please call to let me no if your ok
I tried calling again
Are you with River?
Ill give you an hour to call me back
That's it I'm calling your phone again

Damn she used all caps that must mean she is really pissed right now I have to call her before she calls the police. I ring her number. She picks up on the first ring.
" Ebony where have you been you had me worried sick thinking where you were. I was about to call the police. You are grounded for the rest of the month.!!!"

" mom I was with River and my friend. I'm alright I swear. "

" you had me so worried." She sounds relieved now.

" I will be home soon.bye luv you."

I see River is still asleep clutching my waist and resting his head on my lap. I run my fingers though his hair a couple of times. I start to shake him so he can take me home but he won't budge. Gosh what a lug.

" River ! Wakey wakey" he groans clutching me tighter

" wake! The ! Hell! Up!" I shout at him and ahah I finally have him awake. I smirk at his sullen look.

" why did you wake me up?" He asks sounding like a baby.

" you need to take me home my mom grounded me soooo time for me to head home, k?"

" oh shit she grounded you, I completely forgot about your mom. I'm soo sorry." He says but I just grab a pillow and smack him with it. I laugh at his shocked expression but he has a calculating look in his eyes now. H begins to lean forward and tries to kiss me so I have to throw him off. I take a inhale of his breath and pretend it stinks and scrunch up my nose at him.

" your breath is stinky." I say

" how about I give you another free sample then?" He grabs my arms and pins me down and breaths all across my face.

" oh my gosh sTop."

He falls off of me laughing his ass off. I look at him and start laughing to.

" hey knock knock." He says

" who's there." I'm playing along with his childish antics

" orange you glad." He finds this funny

" gosh your such a gobber." I throw all the pillows at him now.

" River we have to go now seriously."

"Alright alright miss boring." I give him the stink eye for that one.

At home
" well what did you do with your friends. It must have been good enough to not TELL ME WHERE YOU WHERE LAST NIGHT!" She looks a bit mad right now

" well we went to a party but only for a few minutes then me and River left to hang out."
She narrows her eyes at the last part.

" where you safe?" She asks hopefully with a unpleasant look on her face and I have a hard time not cracking a smile at it

" we didn't do anything to get me pregnant." I say still trying not to laugh but she gives me a mom look that shuts me up.

" that's good."

" you know when I was your age I-" I plugged my ears and sang out loud to save my ears from being scarred. She picked up a paper cup and threw it at my head when I wouldn't shut up.

" well now that you finally shut up your grounded for a week no hanging out with friends this week."

I decide not to argue and just nod my head because it could have been a lot worse. I know she's being lenient with me because I have never behaved like this before. I go to bed thinking about last night with a small smile on my lips before sleep took me.
