"What do you want?" I asked. She raised her hands and gave kind of a sarcastic look. Another car pulled up into the drive way. When the people got out right away I saw my best friend Shaylin. She didn't go to my school anymore but we are always going to be BFF's. I thought it couldn't be Shaylin because the was a horse trailer, but when she ran up and hugged me I knew it was her.
"Shaylin, what are you doing here?" I asked. She was still smiling at me. "I got a horse so I'm boarding here. What are you doing here?" she asked. I looked down and didn't answer. I wasn't ready to tell her about my parents yet. Her parents waved at me, so I waved back.
"Let's see that horse." I said changing the subject. We walked to the trailer and saw a beautiful quarter horse gelding. He had a sort of ginger color and a blaze.
"His name is Eclipse Dancer." she said proudly. My mouth was hanging open. He was so beautiful. Linda took him and put the gorgeous gelding in a stall next to Dream. Shaylin reconized Dream and went over to pet her.
" Meg, why don't you give Shaylin a tour of the stable." Linda suggested. I showed Shaylin all of the horses, then the tack room, and the arena. Shaylin had asked her parents if she could sleep over at my cabin, and her parents said yes. It was so good to see Shaylin again that I almost forgot to give the horses dinner.
At my cabin we watched a movie, then went on a trail ride. I was so happy she got a horse. Shaylin let me ride Eclipse Dancer and I was surprised. He was so well gaited. Dream stomped her foot at me. She was so jealous of me riding another horse.
After we rode I asked questions about Eclipse Dancer. He was only three. He must have had a really good trainer. It was late so we went to sleep. It had been an overal good day.
