I woke up in the same spot I was when I fell asleep. I climbed out of the tree.

"Good morning Dream!" I coo "Here's your breakfast." I said, giving her an alfalfa cube. I stroked her mane and saw it was tangled. I got out my brushes and started to groom her. I always thought she was the prettiest color: a liver chestnut with a tint of red on her mane. She whinnied bringing me back to reality.

I gathered all my stuff and mounted Dream. As she went forward there were sounds of cars getting louder and louder. I turned right to avoid the roads. I could hear something behind me, like... other hoof beats? I turned my head to see another girl on a horse.

"Hi!" she said sweetly.

"Hello." I said, in sort of a harsh voice. I cloud see her put on a silly little grin. I couldn't help smiling too.

"I've never seen you here before."

"I'm looking for a place to stay." I replied. She put on a bigger smile and rode up in front of me.

"My stable, is both a place for horses and it has cabins." She gave me an idea. I could work there and in exchange I could board Dream and stay in a cabin. I explained the idea and she agreed. I followed her to a fancy barn with a jumping arena.

"I'm Ally by the way." she said.

"I'm Meg." I said. Ally went into an office in the barn. After a few minutes she told me to come into the office. I saw a tall lady with Dark brown hair. She seemed very friendly and smiled when she saw me.

"Hi I'm Linda, and Ally tells me you want a job here." She said sweetly.

"Yes." I replied.

Linda asked me a few questions and before I knew it I had a job, and a place to stay. Ally showed me around and helped me put Dream in her new stall. I knew everyone was suspicious why I would stay in a cabin instead of with my parents, so I just made up a lie that they were working in Europe (or something like that) and I locked myself out of the house.

It's still far fetched, but it's better than them knowing the truth.
