The next day I woke up to feed the horses. There was a sticky note on the front of the barn. It said, "Dear meg, I went to pick up a new horse, please prepare a stall for him. -Linda." I was excited to hear a new horse was coming. I went to the stall across from Dream.
I scatered hay and put food and water into the stall. Soon he arrived and was put into the stall. He was a beautiful buckskin gelding.
"His name is Buck." Linda told me. I stared in awe. He seemed so sweet. I could hear Dream behind me trying to get my attention.
"What do you think of him?" Linda asked.
"He's beautiful." I replied.
Linda then said thewords I thought I would never hear.
"Then congratulations, I expect you to take good care of him." She said excited. I looked at her. We hugged eachother. I couldn't believe she bought me this horse. I went into the stall and stroked his neck.
Dream was still stomping and whinnying to get my atention. She was so jealous. It made me chuckle a bit. That was the first time I had laughed in a long time. It made me think of my parents death.
I was sad yet happy. I loved Buck, but I hated to think of my parents dying. I hadn't realized that I didn't feed the horses yet. I got right to doing my chorse. It was a good day until Alexis arrived.
