Falling for the Duke Boy (Luke Duke)

Chapter 1

*Allie P.O.V.*

   What began as a peaceful day in Hazzard County, turned into one of the greatest summers of my life. We were in the last couple of days of school when I met the Duke boys. I was in auto shop with my third year senior of a brother. I was working on a 1964 Chevy truck when I heard a new voice. "So where are these engine whizzes that you told us about," the voice said. "I'll be right back, Will," I said. I walked over just as Cooter ran into a pyramid of used oil cans. He got up and greeted Daisy. "Wait. Didn't you say that there were two engine whizzes," the blonde one asked. "Yeah I did," Daisy said. "Daisy," I said walking up to her. "Allie, I'd like you to meet my cousins, Bo and Luke," she introduced me. I now know that the blonde is Bo and the brunette is Luke. ""Has anyone ever told you that you are the prettiest hunk of sugar," Bo said. "He's a charmer isn't he," I said to Daisy. "They both are," Daisy said. "Huh. Very charming Bo. But let me share a little secret with you two. I do not fall for such charm so easily. If you want me you boys are going to have to try a little harder than that," I said standing close to them. When I backed away Luke spoke. "Lucky for you I don't back away from a challenge," Luke said. "Might wanna watch yourself now. That's my sister your talking to," Cooter said.

   "How is this, related to that. No offence Cooter," Bo said. "I'm his half-sister," I said. "Ohh," Bo and Luke said. "So what are you boys needin'," I asked. "We need a fast car," Bo said. "Oh. You came to the right place," I said. "Engines are our specialty," I said. "Do you boys wanna take this out for a test run? See if it's fast enough for you," gesturing to the go cart that Cooter was working on. "We'll meet you out front with Daisy," I said. Cooter and I got them situated then I took off my school provided jump suit and walked out to the front of the school. As we walked I chatted with Daisy. "So what brings your cousins to Hazzard County," I asked. "Oh they got in trouble with the law back home so the judge said jail or a summer of hard work. And here they are," she said. "They are kinda cocky," I said. "You think they were cocky back there, wait until they see that hot bod without that jump suit hiding it," she said. "Gee Daisy, cause that's why I want a boy to like me," I said. "Hey isn't that how you caught the attention of Wade," she said. We were waiting on the front lawn when Bo and Luke came out jumping the stairs of the school, with Enos Strate not far behind them. I was busy making sure they didn't damage the go cart while Bo was going crazy about the engine. When I stood up Luke was right next to me. I took a step back from him and looked up to make eye contact. "You need something," I asked. "Just you. You are one amazing girl. You're smart and hot," he said. "Very charming Luke. But I'm not a girl that falls for words alone. I am all about grand gestures and charming words," I said. "Cooter I think we have our engine. Now all we need is the perfect car," Bo said. "We know just the place," Cooter said. We climbed into Cooter's truck and there was only room for three. "We all aren't going to fit," Luke said. "Well. I could sit on a lap," I said. "Well suger plum. My lap is available," Bo said. "No thanks Bo. I don't want you to get any ideas," I said climbing into the truck. "I think I'd rather sit on this little cutie's lap," I said sitting on Luke's lap and patting his chest.

   When we pulled up to the place for Bo and Luke to find the perfect car, Luke opened up the door and I hopped out of the truck. "Let's go boys," I said turning and walking off. We were walking around the car dump with Bo out in front being weird. "Has he always been this strange," I asked Luke. "Unfortunately yes," Luke said. They went on with Bo's weirdness and Luke defending his honor by saying that he is not a virgin. "Hey now, being a virgin is not a crime," Cooter said. "Well that's great. Except I ain't a virgin," Luke said. "Yeah. Okay," I said with a chuckle. "See now even Allie is a virgin," Cooter said. "Cooter! That is not your business to share, that is my business," I scolded. "Sorry sis," Cooter said. We continued walking around behind Bo until it started getting a little too hot. "Guys lets call it a day," I said. "No I have to find the car," Bo exclaimed. We eventually convinced him to leave and get some milkshakes. After we got our milkshakes we went down to the watering hole near Hogg's Ravine. There were a couple of girls that Bo and Luke were trying to impress by taking off their shirts. "Oh please," I said rolling my eyes. I ignored them for a bit then I heard a splash. I look over and Luke is gone. "What. Just. Happened," I asked. Bo jumped in after him and when he came back up without him going on about a car that's when I handed him my milkshake, shirt, and my boots. I dove in after Luke putting my life guard skills to use. I found him unconscious at the bottom of the lake and grabbed him and swam to the surface. "Cooter, help me out will you," I said. He helped me pull him up onto the rocky shore. I put my ear by his mouth to listen to his breathing. "He's barely breathing," I said. I did chest compressions and then listened again, his breathing wasn't as shallow. I did more chest compressions then mouth to mouth. I did three more chest compressions then Luke sat up straight and coughed up water. Bo came back up and told us what kind of car it was. "Thanks for saving me Bo," Luke said. "You were fine. I had a feeling Allie would get you," Bo said. Thats when Luke looked over at me and saw me shirtless. "Thanks," he said staring at my chest. "Hey, buddy. My eyes are up here," I said moving his head up. Cooter handed me my boots and I put them on. I stood up and I held out my hand for Luke to take. He grabbed it and I helped him stand up.

   We towed the car out or the water and Bo said one of the stupidest things ever, but then again its Bo. "It's from the civil war," Bo said.
