*Allie P.O.V.*

I woke up the next morning and took Lemon and Jezebelle for a walk. While I was out walking them I ran into Bianca. "So the girls said that you sang for me," she said. "Yeah is that a problem," I said holding the leashes to signal them to sit. "Yeah. They couldn't stop going on and on about how amazing your voice is," she said. From behind her I saw the General Lee coming toward us. "What about it," I said. "Well let's hear this amazing voice," she said. "I don't have to prove my voice to you for one. And two, they asked me to sing in your place because you were sick and were not able to sing," I said defensively. "Fine I guess you can't sing and can't even get a man," she said. "Why would you think I can't get a man," I said. "Because you were with the hottest guy in the county and you weren't enough for him. And last time I checked no one else has been trying to win you over," she said sassily. At that Lemon and Jezebelle stood up and began to growl at her. That's when Luke and Bo climbed out of the Lee and walked over to me. "Actually that is where you are wrong," I said. When Luke got closer I gave him a a look. It didn't take him long to understand what I was needing. "Hey beautiful," he said grabbing my hand and kissing it. "Hello again pretty girls," he said kneeling down and petting Lemon and Jezebelle. They instantly calmed down when Luke pet them. "And who is this," Luke asked. "Luke this is Bianca. Bianca this is Luke Duke, that is his cousin Bo Duke. They are Daisy's cousins from outside of Hazzard," I introduced. "Hello," he said to her as he wrapped an arm around me. "Bianca here was just asking me to prove my singing abilities," I told Luke. "Oh she has an amazing voice. It is soulful, but sweet," he told Bianca. "It's not as sweet as mine," Bianca said. "Ladies I have an idea. What if we had a competition tomorrow to see who's voice is better. We will let the town decide," Bo said. "I like that idea very much," I said. "Me too," Bianca said before she stormed off. "Thanks guys," I said. "No problem," Luke said. "Bo really. A competition that the town decides the winner," I said. "Don't worry you'll do fine. Especially if you sing a duet," Bo said. "A duet! With who," I asked. "Well Luke of course," Bo said. "Don't you boys have errands to run," I asked. They got back in the General Lee and drove off. I finished walking the girls and then went out to the Boar's Nest to talk to Daisy about Bo's plan. When I got there and Daisy was tending the bar. "Hey Daisy when is your break," I asked. "Well I'm not busy right now. What's up," she said. "Well Bianca found me and wasn't happy that Sarah and Gwen were going on and on about how good my voice was," I said. "Well you do have an amazing voice," she said. "I do, but I don't like to show it off. So anyway Bo and Luke showed up and know I have to compete against Bianca with the town deciding the winner, tomorrow," I said. "It seems like something else is bothering you," Daisy said. "Yeah. Bo thinks that it is a good idea for me and Luke to do a duet," I said. "Well what do you want to do," she asked. "I honestly don't want to do the competition, but I don't want to look like a coward. So I guess I want to be on my own," I said. "So are you going to sing a cover or pull out one of your own," she asked. "I actually have been working on a song since the Wade incident," I said. "Then go for it," she said. "Thank you for talking with me Daisy," I said. "No problem, hun," she said.

When I got back home I went to my toy chest and pulled out my box of songs. I sat on my bed and pulled out my latest song. I began to work on it to finish it to sing it at the competition  tomorrow. I sat in my room and finished the song before lunch. While I was eating lunch and watching one of my favorite movies, Bo came on the cb calling me. "Lost Sheep to Happy A," Bo said. "Happy A here. What's up," I said. "Just asking for Luke. Do you need a partner for the competition tomorrow," he asked. "Actually no. I have something else in mind so I won't need any help. Thanks though," I said. "Alright then. Lost Sheep out," he said. I went through the rest of my day with very few interruptions. I went back up to my room and played through the whole song a few times. When I finished for the fourth time, I turned to see Cooter in my doorway with his mouth agape. "Wow! You wrote that," he said. "Yeah," I said brushing my hair behind my ear. "It's good. Is that what you are singing at the competition tomorrow," he asked. "Yeah," I said. "Ben what's taking so long up there," mom called. "Oh dinner is ready," Cooter said. Then we went downstairs and ate dinner.

The following morning I went to the town square with my guitar. "Alrighty folks. It's time for a little friendly competition. Bianca Frederick will be going first and then Allie Jones. Then we will take a vote to see who the best was," Uncle Jessie announced. Bianca performed and when she was done there wasn't much applause. "And now Allie Jones," Uncle Jessie said. "Y'all know about the breakup I went through recently. I was hurt so I turned that hurt into a song," I said before I began. I saw Wade in the back of the crowd as I began to sing.

(^^^I do not actually own the song)
