We got up for the day, ran some of the stops. Then we met Allie and the girls at the main square for the talent show. "Hey can you tell me where we can find Allie Jones," I asked a crew worker. "Yeah she's backstage in the blue tent," he said. "Thanks," I said. We went back to to the tent and the girls were already dressed in their outfits. "Oh good you have just enough time to change and practice your steps," Allie said handing me and Bo sets of clothes. They left the tent and we got dressed and then practiced some. "You boys ready? We're up next," Sarah said. We stepped onto the stage and there were a bunch of whistles when Allie stepped on stage. "Settle down boys. And enjoy the show," she said. The music started and Bo and I began our chant. (Allie sings the parts of blonde Christina Aguilera). I danced with Allie and Bo danced with Sarah and Gwen. When we finished the performance the crowd went crazy. When it came time for the judges to announce the winner we got third place. "Thank you so much guys for helping us out," Allie said hugging us.
After the talent show Allie joined me and Bo for a night of fun. We went to the Boar's Nest before minor hour was over to have fun. "Allie I had no idea that you could sing like that," Daisy said from behind us. We turned around and none of us recognized her. "Wow Daisy! You look great," Allie said. "Thanks. So what can I get you guys," Daisy said. We ordered our food and then a song came the jukebox that changed something in Allie. "Hey you ok," I asked her. "You kids have fun. I'm going to romance the ladies over there," Bo said leaving us alone. "It's nothing," Allie said answering my question. "Well it sure looks like something," I said scooting closer to her. "It's just that this song was mine and my ex's song," she said. "Well then let's change that. Would you like to dance," I said standing and offering my hand. "Luke not to this song," she said. "I'll be right back," I said. I walked to find Daisy to ask her something. "Hey Daisy can I borrow a quarter," I asked. "Sure Luke. But what do you need it for," she asked handing me a quarter. "I'm taking my shot with her," I said grabbing the quarter. I went over to the jukebox and picked one of the only slow songs. The song When You Say Nothing At All began playing and I walked over to Allie. "Now would you like to dance," I asked putting out my hand. "I would love to Mr. Luke Duke," she said standing and taking my hand. We danced together and we were swaying close when Bo came up to us. "Luke wrap it up," Bo said. "Not now Bo. Can't you see that we are having a moment," I gritted out. "Oh my bad, but Uncle Jessie needs us," Bo said. "Okay just wait over there. I would like to finish dancing to this song with Allie," I said. "Okay I'll wait out in the General Lee," Bo said backing off. We finished dancing and then walked back to the table. "Thank you for the dance," Allie said. "Oh, the pleasure was all mine," I said. "But don't you have to help Uncle Jessie," she said. "What are you two talking about. Uncle Jessie doesn't need you guys. Bo was just jealous," Daisy said. "Jealous! Jealous of what," Allie and I said together. "That you two are so cute together," Daisy said. At that statement Allie started choking on her drink. "Oh golly Allie are you okay," Daisy asked. "Y-yeah it's just. Well it's just that after my last relationship I don't know if I'm ready to date someone new," Allie said. "Oh," I said with disappointment in my voice. "Oh Luke it's not that I don't like you. I really do like you. I'm just not ready to jump into something new yet," she said laying her hand on my forearm. "That's completely okay, but let me just say one thing," I said. "Okay what's that," she said. "I will wait for you," I said.
We chatted while we ate our meals and got to know eachother. "Hey guys. I hate to tell you this, but it's 9 o'clock," Daisy said. "Oh yeah, sorry. We lost track of time," Allie said. We walked out of the door to the parking lot and Bo was nowhere to be found. "I guess he got tired of waiting," she said. "I'll walk you home. Shall we mi'lady," I offered my hand. "You may walk me home, but no hand holding," she said. I was walking her home and a guy in a big truck drove up next to us. "Hey doll why don't you drop this fool and I'll take you home," the guy said. "Wade go home," Allie said. "Oh, so this is Wade," I said. "Yes. Wade Lautner this is Luke Duke. Luke Duke meet Wade Lautner," she said. "So uhhh. How do you two know eachother so well," I asked. "Wade is my ex," she said. "We never officially broke it off," Wade said. "Excuse me a moment Luke," she said. "Ok," I said. "Wade if you would turn off the truck please," she said. "Sure thing suger," Wade said. He shut off the truck and that is when she exploded. "Wade James Lautner, we broke things off when you cheated on me. And that is not the worst part. That girl you cheated on me with was my best friend at the time," she scolded. "She made a move on me. How could I resist such a hot girl," Wade defended. "Wade that is exactly my point that I made last night. You'll do anything to get with a pretty girl because I just wasn't good enough for you," she said, "Wade go home before you get in trouble."
We walked the rest of the way to her house and Bo was waiting on the side of the road. "Have a good night," I said starting to walk away. "Wait," she said calling me back. "Yeah," I asked hopeful. "Thanks for tonight," she said. She stood on her tiptoes and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "For everything," she finished then went in the house.
