Chapter 10

*Allie P.O.V.*
2 1/2 years later

   I was eating breakfast with Uncle Brick when Magnolia came walking in holding the hand of my son Weston. "Wes you're up early," I said setting him on my lap. "He was excited for founders day," Magnolia said taking a bite of toast. "Is that so," I said. We finished breakfast then went and got dressed for the day. We were walking around town when I heard the horn. "I think I'm going crazy. Did you just hear a Dixie horn," I asked Lavon. "Yeah I think I did," he said. "Do you see a bright orange charger with a Confederate flag on the roof," I asked. "Yeah I do," Zoey said. "Crap," I said. "What is it Momma," Wes said. "Nothing sweetie. Just stay here with Mag and Lemon," I said walking in the direction of the horn. I caught sight of the car, not far away from it I saw Luke, Bo, Uncle Jessie, and Daisy. They split up and I went for Daisy.

   "You told them where I was," I said pulling her into an alleyway. "Luke was worried about you. I kept your secret for more than two years. He needs to know," Daisy said. "And how exactly would I do that. Hey Luke I left two years ago because I was pregnant and was scared. Oh yeah and he's a spitting image of you," I said sarcastically. "He needs to now about his son. And your son deserves to know his father," Daisy said. I let out a sigh and turned to walk out of the alley and saw Uncle Jessie walk by. "Have Luke meet me at the Rammer Jammer after the parade," I said. She gave me a small smile and left to meet up with the others at the General Lee. I waited a couple of minutes before I walked back out to Lemon and Magnolia. Wade stood with Hunter on his shoulders and Magnolia handed me Wes. We watched the parade and when it was over we all went to the Rammer Jammer for lunch. "Hey y'all go ahead and order. I'm going to take Wes to the bathroom real quick," I said as they all sat at an outside table.

    After he was done I walked out to find Luke sitting at the bar. "Come on Wes. There's someone I want you to meet," I said taking Wes's hand in mine. "Hey Luke," I said from behind him. He turned to face me and he looked me up and down. "Allie. I've missed you so much," he said getting off the bar stool. "I've missed you too," I said. "Momma, who is this man," Wes asked. "Mom," Luke asked. "Wes honey. This is your dad, Luke this is.. your son Weston James," I introduced. "I have a son," Luke asked. "Wes honey why don't you go and join the others. I'll be there in a few minutes. I need to talk to your dad alone," I said sending him off. I watched until I saw Uncle Brick pick him up through the window.

   "Why didn't you tell me," Luke asked. "I was scared," I said. "Of what," he asked. "Rejection. I was afraid that you wouldn't want me anymore, worse I was afraid that you would have told me to give him away," I said throwing my face in my hands. "Allison Fazluna Jones. I love you, always have. I would have been so happy to been with you every step of the way through your pregnancy, had I known. And now that I know, I want to be there for you and Weston, and anyone else that happens to come along," Luke said. "I guess you better spend some time with your son then," I said. "There's one more thing I want to do. I can't offer you money or expensive jewelry, bit what I can offer you is my heart," he said. "Luke what are you saying," I said. "I'm saying that I would be honored to be your husband and love you for the rest of our lives," he said. "Oh Luke. I would love to be your wife," I said.

   I'd held my cheek and kissed me more passionately that he did before I left town. When we parted I took his hand and led him outside. "Everyone there is someone I'd like for you to meet," I said. They turned to face me and Uncle Brick handed Wes to me. "This is Luke Duke. Weston's father," I introduced. "Why Luke Duke. It's been an awful long time since I've seen you," Lemon said. "I thought you said that Wes's dad wasn't in the picture," Lavon said. "Well that is true, but only because he didn't know about Wes until five minutes ago because I was scared to tell him before I left Hazzard," I said. "And now that I know, I want to be there for Allie and Weston," Luke said. "In other news, we've decided that there is no one else we'd rather spend the rest of our lives with, so we are getting married," I said.

A couple years later

   I have moved back to my home in Hazzard and Wes and I had moved into the Duke farmhouse. We were now expecting our second child and Luke was making a living running shine with Bo. Everything was perfect in our lives and I couldn't imagine it any other way.
