Lockers sped by as you ran. In what direction, you weren't sure. You only had one goal in mind.

'Get Away'

This, of course, was made difficult by your school bully chasing you.

"Stop!" Ivy yelled out at you. You squeezed your eyes shut, letting a tear fly as you took a sharp right, before looking down. Your bleeding hand was leaving a trail of blood drops as you ran, giving away your location. You started moving more erratically, trying to lose her.

"Y/n! Stop!" She yelled again. You almost did out of surprise. She called should by your real name. Not Brat, not Idiot, not any curse words. Your Name, Y/n. You shook your head and took a left, entering the gym. You took a moment to look behind you. Ivy was close behind you, and gaining. You bit your quivering lip, before turning to run more. As soon as you took your next step, a familiar pain crept into your torso.

'Shit' was the only word that you could think of as you stumbled, almost hitting your head as you fell to the ground, hit by possibly the worst stomach cramp you've ever had. You heard Ivy running up behind you, and you swiveled on your rear, so that your feet were facing Ivy. As soon as she got close, you kicked out with both feet, catching her in the stomach. You pushed yourself to your feet, and tried to limp away as Ivy lay on the gym floor, cursing through. You took a moment to face her, in her moment of pain.

"No." She looked up at you, as you shook your head.

"As long as you're the one chasing me, I will not stop. I don't care how much it will hurt me, but if I let you get me, it's only going to get worse." Ivy's face sank as you limped out of the gym.

"Y/n, please-" You moved faster than you thought possible, scooping a stray basketball into your hand before throwing it at Ivy, turning before it could hit. Judging from the yell, you hit her stomach again. You only continued moving as she fell to the ground.

You hid in the classroom where the Life Skills class was taught, using a medical kit to properly bandage yourself. You weren't sure what to do with the large amounts of blood you left in the halls, but they had to go, one way or another, all without Ivy seeing you. As you patched yourself up, your breathing steadied, and your thoughts cleared.

" 'Did I stutter?' I'm sounding like my father." You said to yourself, before sighing.

"I need to work on that." You ripped off the duct tape you used for your arm and chest wounds this morning, before using gauze, among other things, to dress them. You sighed as you applied a bandage to your palm, stopping the flow of blood.

"Also need to clean up..." you told yourself, looking around. The room didn't have much cleaning supplies, but you'd have to make do. Before you could make your way to a cabinet to look for some, you heard footsteps walk to the door. Suddenly panicking, you leapt over a counter and ducked down just as the door opened.

Footsteps clicked as someone ran around.

"Where can he be?" Ivy asked herself. She stopped, and you held your breath.

"Most of the bandages are missing..." she spoke aloud. You swallowed.

"He was already here then." You heard a heavy sigh.

"Better clean his mess in the halls before someone..." Ivy sighed again, before things clanked and she dashed out of the room. You peeked over the counter, seeing nobody else in the room.

Judging from what Ivy said, you should stay away from anywhere in the school you had already been, at least until she cleans the blood. You stood up. That should take her a while to do. But you were faced with a choice. Either go straight home or get your stuff. You thought it over.

Going straight home would be quicker, and only a bit safer, but getting your stuff wouldn't leave Ivy without any idea where you went, therefore soothing her and letting leave in relative peace. You sighed. You weren't a dick.

You turned a corner, leading to the doorway of the lecture room. Your trail of blood was still there, meaning Ivy hadn't finished. You then steeled yourself, drawing the courage you would need to do this. You took a deep breath, before running into the lecture room.

As fast as you humanely could, you grabbed all the paper on the table, cleaned up what Ivy had thrown at you, picked up the tilted chair, and dashed out of the lecture hall. When you turned a corner, out of the way of Ivy's predicted path, you sighed, and leaned against a wall, before sliding down, taking deep breaths. You pulled up your sleeve, and inspected the wound you had bandaged. It was stained red, but it wasn't getting any more dirty, thank Irene.

You picked up your papers, and nervously peeked behind the corner. All you saw was a flash of pink before you turned around again. Now you had to get to your locker, and leave this Irene-forsaken building. Then your mind wandered back to the room, and you realized your mistake.

Ivy was about done with the halls, meaning she was about to enter the lecture room, which you had hastily fixed up. Then she would know that you had recently been there, and search near your locker for you. You sighed and sat down again. You swallowed, before standing up again. You had kept this cursed secret for years, and anyone who got close to learning it had been driven away. You weren't going to change that.

You slammed the locker door, your stuff hastily crammed in, before sprinting away, the opposite direction you usually came from. You hadn't encountered the bully, and it seemed as though you wouldn't see her before leaving again. That seemed like both a challenge and wishful thinking. Hands empty, all you needed to do was leave, probably through an alternate exit.

You steeled your nerves as you approached the side entrance to the school, mostly used by people with things that were too heavy or cumbersome for the front exit. You nervously looked around, seeing no sign of Ivy. With your choices clear, you dashed for the exit. Your hand pressed on the handle, and as the door pushed open, you were shoved against a wall.

Your headache spiked as your vision was knocked out of focus, before your eyes were locked with those of your panting, sweaty, school bully. Ivy's expression was hard to read, but from what you could read, she was conflicted. Mad, Confused, a bit of everything.

"Y/n.... L/n...." Ivy exhaled through her nose, locking eyes with you.

"Explain."
