Epilogue

 I sat in silence watching the maid everyday as she would bring in a tray of food wait to see if I would touch it and then pick it up and leave. Elara came back every week or so to "check in on me". But I know that she just wants to see how far down I can go below 'rock bottom'. 

     She came it a about a week ago and sighed. 

"I have some very big news for you my dear."

I merely looked up to meet her gaze. Not eating had definately taken it's toll on me. Moving was most definately not an option right now, nor was speaking.

  "He is Betrothed, and if you do so wish to know. It isn't to the red blooded wretch."

She got up to leave and I spoke. Tears formed under my eyes again and the constant pain in my stomach only grew.

   "You were Right" I said, as I spoke my tears flooded into my mouth leaving me with a bitter aftertaste.

"About what dearest?"

"I was nothing to him."I said through grited teeth.

"I'm glad that you have come to your-"

"I'm glad too, because now I know that neither was she."I said, grinning I made an atempt to stand. With surprisingly enough did not fail.

 I staggered over to her and she stepped back. 

"Elara, you lie like a rug." I said, raising my hand I revealed a simple blade made from the first set of utencils which came with my very first meal.

   I don't remember much of the rest but I do remember enjoying the feel of her cold beating heart stopping as my blad pierced her thin weak body.

  Then I saw him with a group of gaurds standing behind her. His hands which were ingulfed in flame dropped and the fire slowly turned to smoke. A singlular tear fell from his eye as he rushed over and caught me as I fell to the ground. 

    Before I lost consciousness I could faintly her him whisper. "I'm sorry, I love you." Then I let my eyes close. 

      They wanted her to be Queen, but he wanted Me.
