Pete stood there dumbfounded. He must have just re-dyed his hair, for his old brown locks from when he was a toddler were back.
I looked to Stan for his help, but he was quick to leave the situation.
"Was that really why you wanted me, (Y/N)? Because I was a something different... I thought you wanted me, for- you know- me. Not because I was just some new experience for you," he said, his voice getting shaky with every word.
"Pete I-"
"No. Never talk to me again," he muttered. "You ruined my life."
Pete left the room, and I collapsed into my chair.
Now what do I do?
*Pete's P.O.V.*
I was hurt, but before I was sad, I was angry. The first place I went was the only place I knew.
"Michael," I called, opening the doors to the back of the school.
"Oh you've got to shitting me," Michael commented, taking another hit of his cigarette.
"You have to take me back," I pleaded.
He looked to the ground and then the sky as if he actually thought about it. I know he didn't.
"Absolutely not," he stated.
"You don't-"
"I don't understand?" He interrupted. "I'm going to assume your little girlfriend broke up with you, but that's not my problem. You made your bed. This isn't a refugee for conformists that think they know what a broken heart is."
"I'm not a conformist though," I argued.
"Pete. Look at you...she changed you. I don't even know you. I can't even look at you," Michael claimed in disgust.
I looked to Heneretta for help, but she wouldn't even look my way.
I took a hard swallow. "Fine."
I went back into the school, where the hall was flooded with conformists.
What the hell am I going to do?
"Hey Pete." I looked and saw Craig, Clyde, and Token all standing in front of me.
"What do you guys want?" I snapped.
Clyde kept his usual grin. "Hey hey hey, no need to be upset with us. I know you and (Y/N) just broke up-"
"Why do you know that?" I asked.
"The whole school knows," Craig commented.
I grunted in defeat. I literally can't do anything anymore without everyone knowing.
"That's besides the point. We thought you might be looking for a new group of people to hang around," Clyde explained.
"....and why would you guys want to hang around me?" I questioned.
"Well with Tweak gone for the semester for his severe anxiety attack, Stan and his friends out number us," Token spoke truthfully.
"Oh so you guys just want to us me too?" I mumbled.
Clyde slung his arm around my shoulder. "No not at all. We want to get to know you. You seem like a pretty chill guy, and we want to be on your side when the school picks sides. We're going to rebuild your image. Make your year."
I didn't see how I had a lot of choices at this point. "Okay, if you say so."
