A Conformist Love Story (Part 2): Goth Kid Pete x Reader

Chapter Nineteen

My search continued on the main floor, and I made my way upstairs, barging into his room. 

"Pete!" I stopped myself, though when I saw him tucking Bebe into his bed. "Did you..."

"Of course not," he replied. "(Y/N), I still love you."

I couldn't help but feel a tear slide down my cheek. "Pete, I didn't mean any of that stuff. I dated you for you- whether your a Goth or not. I'm so sorry."

He hugged me and rubbed my back. "It's okay. We've been through so much, deep down I knew that it wasn't true."

I looked up into his brown eyes. "I love you Pete."

"(Y/N), I can't be a conformist anymore, though, and we can't be a secret again. I don't know how we'll make this work," he commented.

I looked around his dark room. It looked just as it did when he was a Goth. Then I realized Pete was never a conformist. He was faking it the whole time. Therefore, his love for me never changed him. He's still the same miserable Goth.

I gave him a confident look. "I have an idea."

"What is it?" he asked.

"Leave this up to me. I owe you more than one," I reassured him.

*Pete's P.O.V.*

I watched (Y/N) leave the room with all her confidence instilled in her. I didn't really know where she went, nor did I know how long she was going to be gone. I didn't want to go back down to the party, so sitting in my room with a drunk girl seemed to be the best option. It was about 20 minutes later, and she came storming in with Michael behind her.

"Look. Look at his room," she stated. "He is the same Pete, Michael. Stop being such a stubborn dick and just be friends again."

"I've told you a hundred-"

"Shut up. No one wants to hear it. Love didn't change Pete. He's a miserable Goth at the end of the day," she argued.

I stood there astonished by her passion. 

"Fine," Michael folded. "It's been weird without you anyways. Now leave me alone."

He quickly stormed off, and I couldn't help but smile. 

I turned to (Y/N). "Thank you so much."

She hugged me. "Of course Pete. I love you."

"I love you too."
