Alright so those of you who read chapter one here is the two! I hope you like it!!:) comment and let me know!!

The drive to the high school was no longer than a short ten minute drive, practically just around the corner compared to the drive I had back in California. A thirty minute drive to and from school with traffic was what I had every single day. As I was driving to school I realized how different Maine looked from the California scenery. There was no palm trees, no roller bladders going up and down the beaches, no roofless jeeps with surf-boards strapped to the top. None of it. I sighed to myself missing everything I had to leave behind this summer.

It was about a ten minute drive to the high school from my house and I was already running late by the time I left. Figured, mom was right. I pulled into the assigned parking spot in the school parking lot the office secretary had given me in the packet of things that was sent to me a few weeks ago. The high school definitely looked like the ones from the movies I had watched. You know those cheesy 2000's high school movies that starred Freddie Prinze Jr? It looked very different from my academy back home. I turned the key back in the ignition and turned my car off. I flipped the sun visor down in my lime green jeep wrangler, my prized possession, to reveal the mirror. I looked at myself in the mirror, took a long deep breath and braced my self for the very long day ahead.

As I was walking into the school, all I was receiving  were stares left and right followed by the whispers from the new faces all around me.

"What is she wearing this is not the West coast!"

"Dude the new girl is hot!"

"She's the one from California I've heard is our new transfer."

I had to figures everyone already new there was a new kid in town. In the movies, everyone already new the new kid was new before they even got to school. I kept walking with my head down and tried not to acknowledge the fact people were already noticing me and I wasn't even inside the school yet. As I walked inside, I immediately noticed how different the whole school looked from the academy back home. The lockers were those classic metal ones with a beige color that was chipping on most, there were not very many windows to let the light in, and lastly, it was not right on the beach. It looked like any other average high school i'd seen on T.V. growing up.

Slowly, I made my way to the front office to pick up my class schedule for the fall semester. I was already a late starter anyway, mom and dad didn't want me to start school on the very first day in fear that I would fall through the cracks. Whatever that had to mean.

As I wandered in through the office door, the older lady sitting behind the rugged secretary counter looked up at me and gave me a cheeky smile.

"Well hi there honey! You must be Kamlyn right?" she said as she stood up patting her skirt down.

I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, "Actually ma'am it's Kamryn."

"Oh goodness sorry dear! They must have had a misprint on your schedule here. Well I am Mrs. Cohen and I am the office lady!" she spoke excitedly as she clapped her hands together. I took it she really enjoyed her job.

"Oh right! You probably want your schedule, silly me!" she said as she turned her back to me while she walked over to the computer to print off my schedule, "And I also will call one of the welcoming committee girls to walk you around! Not that I'm sure you couldn't handle it, it's just nice to have someone to help you out sometimes." she said as she handed me my schedule. I glanced down at the warm sheet off paper fresh from the printer in my hands.
