Brief author's note: You all literally probably hate me right now because I haven't updated in a like a billion years! BUT I have a couple good excuses
1. I just graduated, so I was dealing with graduation stuff.
2.I blew out my left knee playing softball and i'm having surgery this week to finally fix it.
But here I am typing away again! Oh and a huge apology to the name confusion, it has been edited and fixed :) Again a huge thankyou to anyone stil reading this! Almost to 16,000 reads!!! God bless you guys!:) This is a long chapter that really could be broke into two but you all deserve a long one since I suck as a person and am a slow updater. Enjoy :)
It had not left my mind for merely one second since last Monday had happened. Every day this week my mind would wander off into Damon's direction. What would it be like to hug him like that for even longer? What would it be like to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie with Damon? What would it be like to see him cry? These were the thoughts running through my head the entire week. I had actually been looking forward to our Saturday out to go see his brother David, but I never heard from him yesterday. I should not have been surprised that a guy like him would keep his word.
"Did you know he has a brother?" I asked Maddy as we walked into her room.
"Yeah." She said as she flopped onto her bed pulling out the latest Vogue Magazine, "You know you have been talking about him a lot lately. May I remind you he did ditch you yesterday."
"I know, I'm still kind of mad about that, but it wasn't like it was supposed to be a date or anything." Secretly I was hoping he would have seen it like one," But his brother being in disability supports something that like everyone knows?" I asked while I sat on her desk chair pulling my knees to my chest.
"Well, not really. I mean like people who have lived here their whole life defientely know, but others have no clue." She looked at me knowing something was running through my mind, "Most people know better than to bring it up around him."
"Ah huh, well he seemed pretty hurt about it."
"He took it really hard Kam. I honestly think that is why he is the way he is. When we were all little he was never as big of a douche as he is now." Douche was an understatement to explain him sometimes.
"All hard on the outside, but once you crack his shell he isn't." I explained out loud.
"EXACTLY!" Maddy said as she popped up, "Just like a turtle you run over on the road."
I started laughing, "What the hell? That was the weirdest simile I have ever heard."
"Oh hush up, but seriously Kam, I know you are starting to really like him and I just don't want you to get hurt." She gave me a symphatetic grin. She didn't have to tell me twice. Getting hurt was the last thing that I needed right now and being stood up yesterday was about the last straw for Damon. Just when I thought he was changing, he proves to me he isn't.
"No worries there." I grimaced.
"Well what about Dallas?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.
"Oh shit, I totally forgot to text him yesterday." I put my face in my hands.
"So what you mean is that you forgot to text him all week." She corrected me.
"I just don't know about him." I remarked.
"You don't know about him because you have been sucked into the tornado I like to call Damon Mcallister."
"Ugh." I groaned out loud.
