Secret of the Keys

Meditation

My eyes opened slightly, but closed quickly due to the blinding sun. I rolled onto my side so I was facing away from the window. I opened my eyes again to look a my alarm clock: 8:54. I sat up stretching my arms and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I crawled out of my bed yawning. I grabbed my phone and my celestial keys. I guess grabbing my keys is becoming a habit. I made my way to the living room. I sat on the couch and plugged my headphones into my phone. I started scrolling through YouTube.

About halfway through my fifth video one of my keys starts to glow. I quickly paused my video and pulled my earplugs out just as Leo appeared.

"Hello Leo." I say sitting up into Indian pose.

"Hello Raven. I came to tell you that later today you should find a quiet place that relaxes you. When you get there summon me." He says.

"Okay but can I ask why?"

"Oh just for some training."

"What are we going to do? I haven't made contracts with everyone yet."

"Oh you'll see. Goodbye." He said as he disappears. I decide to get ready for the day. I went into my room to get dressed. Today I wore a pair of jean shorts. I put on a black t-shirt with the fairy tail emblem on it. Inside the outline of the emblem was team Natsu. I leave my curly hair down and head to the kitchen. Then I pour myself a bowl cereal.

After I eat I quickly brush my teeth and by now mom had woken up. I head to the kitchen where mom is making herself breakfast. She was wearing a navy blue nightgown and she had bed head.

"Hey mom, I'm going for a walk." I say.

"Okay." She says looking up. I go back to my room and grab my keys. I head out to the quiet morning. I walk past the silent cemetery and I get the creeps. I walk for about five more minutes. Now I have left town and there are trees surrounding the sidewalk and the road. Now I step off the sidewalk and I start walking straight into the forest without turning. Soon I came to a tree with a long blue ribbon tied around one of it's branches. At this ribbon I turn left and continue walking.

Soon I stop at this small clearing. In the clearing there is a small waterfall running into a small pond. Everywhere else was soft green grass. The clearing was surrounded by trees except for the pond and waterfall which had rocks around one side of it. I walked into the clearing and grabbed Leo's key.

"Open gate of the Lion." I watched as the key glowed and Leo appeared. "So what kind of training are we going to do?"

"Well I'm going to have you meditate to raise the amount of magic power you can hold. This will hep summon more spirits in a day." He explained. I nodded my head. "Why did you choose this place?"

"Oh me and my dad use to come here all the time." I say.

"Oh. What do you mean by use to?" He asks.

"Well three years ago my dad was coming home from work but this man was driving too fast and he tried to stop but it was too later." I tried to stop the tears but a few escaped. Suddenly I felt a pair of warm arms wrap around me.

"I'm sorry, I should not have asked." Leo said quickly.

"No its fine. I should get over it. Let's get started." I say drying my tears with my arm.

"Just do what I do." Leo says. He sits down in Indian pose and I do the same. He puts his hands facing up on his knees. "Now just close your eyes and focus on the magic energy around you." I did what he said. I got rid of any thoughts I had and I tried to focus on the magic energy. After a few minutes I opened my eyes and let out a sigh. Noting happened.

"Why didn't it work?" I wonder aloud.

"Well sometimes it helps when you focus on feeling the air instead or meditating just isn't effective for you." Leo explained. So I closed my eyes and focused on the air instead. A few minutes later I opened my eyes again. Nothing happened again. Then suddenly I get an idea.

"Leo you can leave now. I need to get something from my house." I say quickly as I stood up, grabbing my keys.

"Okay." Leo said as he disappeared. I ran out of the woods, back into town, past the cemetery, and into the house. I run into my room where I change into my two piece swimsuit. The bottom was like a skort (half shorts half skirt) and it was black. The top which completely covered my torso was purple. Then I put my shirt back on over my swimsuit. I left the shorts cause the skirt on the swimsuit looked like a normal short skirt.

Then I grabbed my keys and a towel and ran all the way back to the clearing in the woods.

I grabbed Leo's key chanting, "Open gate of the Lion."

"Leo, please can you move that rock to underneath the waterfall?" I say as I begin to take of my shirt.

"You look beautiful in that swimsuit." Leo says. I roll my eyes as he moves the medium sized rock.

"What are you going to do?" Leo asks curiously.

"Watch and see." I say as I walk over to the waterfall. I sit in Indian pose under the waterfall. I lay my hands on my knees face up. I close my eyes and focus on the air around me.

I could feel the magic energy around me and it almost felt like it was moving towards me. I sat there for about ten minutes until I felt something touch my foot. I jumped up screaming.

"What happened!?" Leo asked looking concerned. I stood there on the rock looking at the water frantically.

"Something touched my foot!" I yelled. Suddenly he started laughing. "What are you laughing about?!" I yell.

"It was a little fish!" He said pointing to a small school of minnows. I felt my cheeks heat up.

"I knew that." I mumbled. Then I sat back down to continue meditating.
