The Last of the Gates

"Hey can I get your email? Then I can just text you when I want to come over to train." I say.

"Uh sure." Joshua says as he gets out a piece of scrap paper and scribbles something done quickly. He hands it to me and our hand brush each others.

"Thanks." I say blushing slightly. Inside I was fangirling like crazy. (Almost as crazy as Juvia.)

"Whats that?" Laurel says sitting next to me.

"Oh nothing." I say quickly so she can't pick on me. She quickly retches over and pulls it out of my hand.

"Ooo. You got his number so you can send love notes?" She whispers so Joshua can't hear.

"No,no,no,no! It's not that!" I say panicked pulling it out of her hand and stuffing it in my pocket.

"Then what is it?" She says slyly.

"Uh... It's for tutoring." I lie.

"Oh." she says slightly disappointed. We continue through lunch strangely quiet.

Then bell rings and I head for Algebra. I take my usually seat in the front. Joshua comes in and sits next to me. Then Mr. Jason walks in closing the door behind him. He walks over to his desk and picks up a stack of papers.

"Today you will be working on this paper that I will have Amy pass them out." Mr. Jason says setting the papers on Amy's desk.

Once I get my paper I look at it and see that it what I worked on with Joshua yesterday. I work on the math feeling very smart. Halfway through the class Joshua's hand shot into the air. Mr. Jason walked over from his desk.

"Yes?" Mr. Jason asked quietly.

"I finished." He replied just as quietly.

"Well I have a practice paper you can work on." Mr. Jason walks over to his desk. I go back to my work and realize I was only half way done. I scrambled to finish the paper before the end of the class. Relief filled me when I finished the paper. Just as I finished the bell rang. I handed the paper to Mr Jason and hurried out of the class.

I meet Laurel in the hall and we walk to history together. We take our seats in the class and the history teacher, Ms. Peterson, walks in. Ms. Peterson is an old lady. Shes shorter than me, and her gray, almost white, hair is short and curly.

"Today we are going to continue learning about the revolutionary war." She said. She started explaining why we had the war, but my mind was zoning out. I got out a scrap piece of paper and started drawing of Happy and Carla and Panther lily.

Just as I finished the drawing the bell rang and Laurel and I ran to our last class of the day.

I jumped off the bus and ran over to the house. I unlocked the door and didn't even bother to take my shoes off. I put my backpack in my room and I grabbed my notebook and phone. I grabbed a pencil and a pad of sticky notes. I quickly wrote:

I'm making contracts with the rest of my spirits.

I pulled the sticky note off the pad and I stick the sticky note to the door. Then I run out and lock the door behind me and sprint all the way to my secret spot. I set aside my phone and start deciding with spirit to summon first. Ive already done Leo, Virgo, Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, Pisces (in human form), Sagittarius, Gemini, and Scorpio. I guess I'll do Aquarius to get her done with. I really like her, but I'm afraid of how she will treat me.

I grab her key and walk over to the little pond and I stick the end of her key into the water.

"Open, gate of the Water Bearer." I say as the key starts to glow. Soon enough a beautiful mermaid appears in front of me. Her arms were crossed and she looked grumpy.

"So your Raven?" She asked looking me up and down.

"Y-yes." I stuttered already feeling scared.

"Pff. I expected better. I doubt you even have a boyfriend."

"What?! I'm only in ninth grade!" I say surprised by her sudden rudeness. I take a breath and hold out my hand. "Want to start a contract?"

"What ever." I she says grudgingly shaking my hand. Knowing Aquarius that probably meant yes.

"What day-" I start.

"Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday." Aquarius interrupts. I write it down and realize that they were the same days as Scorpio. "Well I'm leaving now. I have a date, and he's hot." and with that she disappeared. Then I grabbed Taurus's key. I was worried about him too. He's such a pervert.

'Open, gate of the Bull." Taurus appeared in front of me. I moment he saw me I swear I could see hearts in his eyes.

"Your beauuuutiful." He exclaimed. I mentally face slapped.

"Want to start a contract?" I asked. His hand easily covered mine.

"Anything thing for you and your beautiful boooody!"

"What days are you free?" I ask.

"Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!" I write it done and quickly close his gate before he could say any more perverted comments. Finally I finished making contracts. Maybe I can train at Joshua's house on Friday!

I ran home to see if mom had gotten house. I make it to the lawn, panting. I see her car in the driveway and I run into the house. Mom was hanging up her purse on a hook.

"Hey mom can I train at Mrs. Jones's house this Friday?" I ask.

"If it's okay with them" Mom says. I pull out my phone going into messages.

Me:Can I train with you guys on Friday?

He doesn't reply right off so I go into the living room and get comfy on the couch. Then my phone dings.

Joshua:sure
