The next day. The trial has started. To be honest I haven't been feeling myself lately. "Order, ORDER!" Yelled the judge hitting his gabble on the table. The first thing I noticed coming in was Miles Edgeworth, here as the prosecutor. I wouldn't have ever guess he take this case as, well... Prosecutor. He noticed me staring at him puzzled, so I quickly looked away. While doing so, Edgeworth then starts to speak, "The Prosecutor... is ready your honor!" I start talking right after, "The defense is ready your honor!" The judge finally got everyone to quiet down. "Very well, let Larry Butz come to the stand!" He said. Larry seemed excited. Which was shocking even though he was crying a lot yesterday when I left... as so I heard. Larry did as he was told, and took the stand. The Judge started talking again, "Mr.Butz you may now start your testimony!" Larry smiled. Wait a minute, something doesn't feel right here at all. Um... Oh well, It doesn't matter, I need to focus. Larry was going to say something till- "OBJECTION!"

The room immediately turned dead silent, so silent that you could hear a pencil fall from the hallway, and it would most likely echo into the courtroom. Edgeworth cleared his throat and started to speak after the dramatic silence. "Excuse me your Honor, but I came in um... Unprepared. I honestly don't even know what's happening. Can we have a moment to discuss about the case." The courtroom started its chatter in agreement. Oh, thank you Edgeworth I had no clue either, your a hero... wait, HUH!? He came in unprepared? Like me? Something is definitely not right here. I start to speak up too. "Your honor... I also came in blind and empty handed. Please, may we discuss about the case?" Yesterday when I left Larry here, I just had this nagging feeling to just go to bed and wait for tomorrow to see what will happen. I saw Larry look away. I'm sure he lost all his excitement, and confidence in the same time, or in other words probably upset, and disappointed in me. "Oh, how odd that you boys didn't do your homework-" The Judge was cut off from Edgeworth as he pointed at him, "I'm sorry your honor, but YOU skipped a very important part of today's trial, THE OPENING STATEMENT! I'm sure most of the people in this courtroom have no clue who this person that's being called a killer has done, or why he is even here in the first place. The people must be confused as to what is happening! And how many years have you been working here? CAN YOU ANSWER US THAT! How disappointing. Shame on you-" The people in the jury started talking about what Edgeworth have said. "Well Miles I'm sure you know who Larry is, but you do have a point in a way," I said under all the commotion. "Order, Order I say... ORDER!!!" As he almost destroys his desk... "I see, very well Edgeworth you have my apologize, it was my mistake. Ahem, well then Mr.Edgeworth you may start your opening statement, please..." A bailiff came to give Edgeworth some papers. Edgeworth scans them and started to speak, "You have my gratitude and my dearest apologizes your honor... Larry and Kiyance went on a date at Cupid's Arrows Park. At the restaurant called Gateway to Love... And when they left Larry had to go to the men's room as so he says, but a witness mentioned that they saw Larry murder Kiyance with a bow and arrow thinking it was the Cupid's bow. The witness was the mascot, the Cupid itself... Who wrote this..." He read the papers out loud annoyed, so unprofessional I do have to say. The jury started discussing again. "Order, ORDER!" The judge said smashing his gabble on his desk once more, and it eventually went quiet. "Larry now, you may now start your testimony."

Finally Larry showed some interest. And gave me a thumbs up with a wide smile. "Okay, so as I was going to say until I was rudely interrupted!" He looked at Edgeworth. "By the way how are yeah, old FRIEND! Geez its been a while, how long was it? Maybe three to four weeks-" Edgeworth cuts him off, "Stay on topic Larry!" Edgeworth slams the desk while giving him sharp eyes. Uh right, now its time to focus! Larry lastly gives a bored sigh, "Fine, but we have to talk later Edgyboy! We will talk about why you went on the opposite side from Nicky here." Edgeworth looked at me with a striking gaze too. "Uh, Larry can you please?" I said trying to make him start the testimony as he is rambling to himself at this point, I and everyone else was craving for it this very moment. I start to feel nervous as the judge glares at me too. Larry clears his throat getting ready to FINALLY start, "Only for you Nicky! Ahem, so I was planning a nice fancy date at Cupid's arrow for my lovely, beautiful, girl. It was really expensive, and I finally had the money to afford at least the food. But when we got the food it tasted funny well to me at least, but my queen enjoyed it, eating every last bite, so I ate all of mine since it would be a waste of I didn't eat it, and didn't want the money to go to waist. When we left the restaurant I told her that I'd be back, because I needed to go to the bathroom, and well... In other words wasn't feeling well. And when I came back I-I saw her. My beautiful angel was d-dead!" Larry points at the mascot that was on the side lines as it just watched quietly. "I-I think it was that cupid thing! I think it was him your HONOR!" I saw Larry's eyes tear up. Larry... "Larry no pointing fingers just yet! That's not allowed!" Hm, no kidding I been there. "Now, Mr.Wright you may now start your-" I cut him off, "Cross examination! Yes your honor!" I cut him off because I knew what I was going to ask Larry first since I wanted this to end smoothly and quickly. But I should have expected that it wouldn't be easy, huh... "MR.WRIGHT NO CUTTING ME OFF DO YOU UNDERSTAND!" The judge replied scolding me. I took a glace at Miles and he didn't seem to care about anything. "Ye-yes your Honor, I'm sorry." I left the guilt of cutting off the judge aside. And focused on my main monologue that was on replay in my head. "Larry so you said, while you were at Cupid's Arrows the food tasted funny, right? What was funny about it? The taste? The way it looked?" It was the only thing that was bugging me from his testimony. Larry faced me, "There was white little sprinkles in the food." White sprinkles, huh? Ok... "And what were you eating Larry?" Larry thought for a moment, "I was eating a stake!" Edgeworth then joined in with a simple question, "And why dose this matter? How does little sprinkles have to do with the murder of Kiyance?"

How does the sprinkles have to do with the the murder of Kiyance? "If you don't have anything to say then-" Miles seemed to get tense which was odd, but I ignored him and someone came to mind, Larry. "OBJECTION!" I yelled out. "It's pretty simple, the murder wanted Larry to leave so they got him feeling sick!" Everyone started chattering lightly to each other, and Edgeworth seemed intrigued. "The sprinkles were something that made Larry want to go to the men's room. While he was doing his business thats when, THE MURDER TOOK PLACE! So Larry did you see anything that would make you think it was the mascot by any chance?" I think I did alright, at this point it's just thinking, and guessing. Maya was besides me staying quiet but she smiled and clapped lightly as she was supporting me, and Larry jumped back surprised as he haven't thought of that. "Mr.Wright so your saying Larry... might have saw the murder happen?" The judge asked. "Your honor... I saw it, I saw it take place," Larry admitted. "Im sorry I didn't say anything. I saw the horrifying mascot hold a bow next to her... As she... Had the arrow in her back laying on the ground. I... I couldn't save her, It... It was to late. I stayed in the bathroom hoping this was just all a dream." Larry... its okay to tell the truth, you know this. It makes things a lot easier if you just learn to corporate. "Very well let the Cupid take over to the stand! We need to talk about this! IMMEDIATELY!"
