I felt a soft tap on my shoulder and I jumped off the desk to see Maya behind me. "Ahhh, Maya you scared me." I said startled. "Oh, I'm sorry Nick. I just wanted to ask what were you, and Sir.Edgeworth talking about." I look back at the door he left from. "He wanted me to uh... Come by to his place." She gives me starry eyes. "Are you guys going to have Netflix and Chill? Are you two going to cuddle together!?" She giggles while clapping. I roll my eyes at her, blushing. "Im sure he just wanted to talk about something, like today's case. Yeah... that's probably it." She gave me a big smile, "Yeah, right! You two will be talking about today's case. I mean you guys looked really close earlier. Hehehe, maybe a inch closer, and you two would have been kissing!" She said this while leaning towards me. "Stop that." I pushed her away, I feel my face turn brighter. But to be honest he was acting pretty odd, not the topical Miles I know. He acted... Well, desperate? Not really sure if that was the right way to put it... "But I'll be stopping by on my own!" I said to Maya. She gave me a upset look, "Wait, what about me?" I look at her, "You can stay in the apartment, and watch Pink Princess or something," I said walking away. Then she ran up to me to grab my shoulder, "But you said we watch it together." I stopped from her words. I give a big sigh, "We can still watch it, and plus you would probably be okay with watching it like twenty more times, so missing it once won't hurt, right?" I looked back at her, and gave her a smile. She gave me a pouty face, "yeah you're right... You know what? Go ahead, I'll let you go to you're boyfriend's place. Just make sure not to have to much fun!" She laughs running away. Oh Maya... what am I going to do with you.

I was on my way to leave to see Maya take a taxi. But I noticed the police are running all over the place, like dogs trying to look for a thrown ball. I grab one of the shoulders of a running police officer to ask what's happening, "What's happening, is something wrong?" I asked worried. The police officer was a male, "Yes sir! Valenie Q, she got away!" Valenie Q? Is that the mascot's name? It sounded familiar... I let go of the police officer so he can join the others.

Then I hear a voice that sounded familiar. I look behind me to see Detective, Dick Gumshoe yelling at a officer. I was pretty curious so I went over, and had a listen to there conversation since Gumshoe never really gets this angry. "Why would you do that, she murdered someone, and you became a officer to stop these criminals not letting them go back in to the world! This is not for fun, and games you hear me!" He kept scolding. So... she's the one who let Ms.Valenie Q go. Hmm, I went over to steal the officer from Gumshoe as he locked eyes with us. "So you're the one who let Valenie Q go, huh?" I see the officer look up at me its a girl, "No it wasn't me. I tried to hold her, but she stabbed me, and the other officer on the leg with a arrow see. But I think the other officer had the arrow right threw." She shows me her leg. "I was trying so hard to not let her go, but it was really painful. But the other officer that was helping me fell asleep." Fell asleep? Why would he do that for, hmm that's strange? "Thank you." I said and I was going to walk away, till I felt a tug behind me. She was holding on to my clothes. "Is there something else you want yo say?" She nodded nervously, "I just wanted to ask for love advice. I... I have a thing for Sir.Gumshoe over there." Love advice? "Uhhh, sorry I can't help you there. Even if I could help, I haven't been in a relationship ever since, umm… yeah sorry maybe ask someone else?" She nods telling me she understands even though I'm confident she doesn't really. I just gave her a smile, "all I could say is good luck." She smiles back, then she fainted, I catched her before she hit the floor. "Gumshoe!" I yell at him for help. I see Gumshoe sprint towards us. I gently placed her in his arms, "she has a stab wound on her leg here, also I'll help you in your investigation," I told him. He nods thanking me, and takes her away. Did she not tell him anything? Anyway, all that we need to do is find her that should be simple, plus she couldn't have gone far, right? The first place that cought my attention is a ally way. Something is telling me to go in. And I did what my instinct was telling me. But it was a dead end. I gently punched the wall a bit disappointed.

I was going to walk away, but as I turned around, I felt someone push me down to the floor. We were facing each other. It was a girl with blond hair, and pretty purple eyes. I felt like I seen her before. Oh, now I remember who she is. She had a arrow in her left hand. She put it up like she was going to stab me. But we heard a gunshot. It was Gumshoe trying to get are attention. I took this time to let my hands get free, and I went to grab the arrow to break it. "NOOOO!" she yells at me. She gets off me crying for what I did. I stood up and Gumshoe came beside me just in case she had something up her sleeve. "Valenie I know who you are." She looks up at me still tears falling from her face. "Your that famous witch that died a long, long time ago, right? She tried to make every one happy. But lots of people were afraid of her by what she did, so she faked her death. She wanted to continue to bring smiles to people, so you pretending to be someone else completely, you thought no one would find out it was really you. I... I seen your record and it didn't look pretty." She stays quiet for a while, "Yeah I'm the witch. But now I'm named Valenie." Just as I thought. I smile at her, but then my smile went away the more I think about it. "Wait so what did you do to Edgeworth? It wasn't a fainting spell thats one thing I know... Your more powerful then that." She looked at me, "Did you see his eyes?" She looked like she woken up from a deep sleep. I nodded, "um... yes I did. What dose that pink glow in his eyes mean?" She then starts to celebrate out of no where. "Oh my, YES I did it. It worked YES! I made MY SHIP COME TRUE!!! YOU FELL IN LOVE, AHAHAH!" Her excitement made me feel uneasy. And I'm sure I looked worried. Then what she said hit me. "WHAT!?" I asked yelling and hoping she was joking. She stopped laughing, and looked at me. "If someone gets shot, or stabbed by cupid's arrow they will fall into a little sleep. And if they wake up to see someone they care about they show a pink glow of eyes, and they fall in love at first site." She continues to laugh none stop. I swallowed hard. She doesn't seem like she was joking. "So your saying Edgeworth is in a sp... spell? H... HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?!" I couldn't get the words out of my mouth easily... I was honestly scared. She looked at me, and leaned towards me. She whispers into my ear the same way Miles did, "a true loves kiss." What is this, a fairytale? And first of all, WHY ME! So I have to kiss him? Great. Wait a minute, Edgeworth wants me to come over I forgot about that, Ahhh! WHAT DO I DO! AGAIN WHY ME! "Uhh, hey pal... I have a problem with the officer you told me to help... She woke up and I saw the pink glowing eyes." Gumshoe responded. Well lucky you. You have a girl, and she likes you. I have a guy, and HE doesn't like me as much. Then my phone started to ring losing my train of thought. I looked to see who it was. And speak of the devil it was Edgeworth. I answerd the phone, "Please, excuse me," I told Valenie, and Gumshoe. "Hey Edgeworth! Need sonething?" I ask trying to sound casual as possible, but I was shaking none stop. "Hey Phoenix are you, busy right now?" He asked. "Uhh... a little, why?" I asked swallowing hard. "Well I made dinner, and I wanted to ask if you we're actually going to come over, or we're you probably... ugh, what I'm trying to say is will you like to come, and have dinner with me?" He said bluntly. "If you can't come it's-" I cut him off. "HOLD IT!" What am I saying? "I mean, uhh... yeah, I'll be over right now, heh heh..." I laugh to myself. "Okay, I'll be waiting for you then... later." I followed after his words, "later." I can hear him laughing as we hung up the call. I slap myself hard. Im just setting myself up here, but I couldn't tell him no, I didn't have the power to... He made dinner for us... I give a big sigh. I look back to see confused, and excited faces. "Sir.Gumshoe do you know where Edgeworth lives? Because I'm going over to see him." I gave him a serious look. His jaw dropped, "Wait dont tell me your planning on KISSING him, right?" Gumshoe asked. His words cut me open. "Ahh no, of course not!" But what ever happens is my fault, and my own actions. I really hope I don't kiss him...
