Things from my past life,
Take control of my mind too easily.
I want to be happy and feel confident,
But these emotions don't allow me to.
I've gotten better since I've grown older,
Though, these feelings never seem to go away.
No matter how hard I try,
To forget the things of my past.
They always want to creep back into my head,
To make me miserable once again.
