song of the chapter:
don't judge me ~ chris brown

jaehyun eyes fluttered open softly from the sunlight peaking through the patient room window. he immediately winced at the slight pain coursing through his body although he knew it was greatly minimized by the drugs that were pumped into him last night.

his ears perked up as he heard a small sigh next to him and a body snuggle deeper into his own. jaehyun immediately cooed at the sight of taeyong sound asleep and tucked into his side like a small child.

he took a moment to observe taeyong, taking in all of his ethereal features. jaehyun was convinced for a moment that he was straight out of plastic case from how flawlessly doll-like he looked. taeyong's skin was soft and unblemished. his lips were a dusty rose and slightly pouted. he had long black eyes lashes adding a touch of femininity that counteracted his razor sharp jawline. for once, he didn't look so protected and intimidating.

jaehyun had never realized the small scar that was on the side of his eye was the only thing keeping him from believing that taeyong was a god instead of a human. everything about taeyong was so inviting to him, consistently drawing him in time and time again. taeyong stirred slightly, being drawn from his deep sleep.

"good morning, sleeping beauty." jaehyun whispered close enough for taeyong to feel his breath fanning over his face.

taeyong's eyes immediately shot open as he scrambled to get out of the bed that held both of them.

he broke the rule again. taeyong didn't sleep over, ever, period. all of his one night stands resulted in him rushing out of their places right after they hooked up.

apparently jaehyun seemed to not fall under the terms and conditions of his rule book because this had been the second time that he fell asleep next to him.

"don't call me that, i don't do cute endearing nicknames. i'm glad you didn't die but i think that this is moving way too fast and i think we should stop before this goes too far. how do you feel, first of all?" taeyong blurted out in panic, running his hand through his hair in attempts to look decently presentable.

"says the one who told me he loved me first. and i feel fine." jaehyun scoffed with a evident smirk on his face.

"i panicked and i can't help that i took a liking towards you when you cling to me like a piece of gum. i also love cheesecake and milk tea so don't go thinking you're too special. and you need to eat and drink water, you're body went through a lot." taeyong pouted, furrowing his eyebrows.

"just admit that you're an emotionally constipated, panicked gay. and don't act like you weren't the one who started facetiming before you went to bed every night, you're just as clingy as i am. and i'm not hungry." jaehyun countered, sitting up in the bed.

"some points were made. but i would like to say that i facetime you not because i miss you but because im convinced my apartment complex is haunted, therefore i can't sleep without making sure no ghosts kill me. and i don't care if you're not hungry, you're going to eat because you need to recover fast." taeyong answered half honestly because he did believe in the ghost but also because he found it hard to be away from jaehyun after spending forty eight consecutive hours with him every time they were on call.
