Ep1: Creepy Carnival

1 week before the guest arrived...

The town of Nevermore was a peaceful place filled with lovely people. It's the 1970s and the world was changing, for the better and the worse.

It was a quiet day in Nevermore. The citizens were going about their business. A young 14-year-old boy named Gabriel Stevens was out collecting groceries for his papa. But when he was done, he dropped the receipt and it blew into the nearby woods. Eager to get it he ran into the woods.

Meanwhile, a mysterious man walked into town. He was roaming the dirt roads, looking around, observing the civilians. Then when people got suspicious of him, they contacted the Sheriff. The Sheriff went to check this man out. Fortunately, the mysterious man was still in the streets.

"Excuse me sir, but I'd like to take you in for a few questions if you don't mind." The Sherriff said, placing a hand on the man's shoulder. The man turned around and took off his eyes. That's when the Sheriff saw his glowing purple eyes. "What the in the world-" he yelled but was cut off by the man grabbing him by the neck and holding him up, suffocating him.

"I'm here for the sacred artifacts!" The man growled. The Sheriff couldn't respond, due to him not being able to breathe. The man then squeezed his neck, crushing it, killing him. He then summoned a purple fog that grew rapidly, and soon, consumed Nevermore, corrupting the people inside of the town.

But Gabriel wasn't affected by the fog, due to him being in the woods. He entered the town, which looked normal, but Gabe soon saw the glowing purple eyes of all the civilians. When he tried to talk to them, none of them remembered who he was. Even his friends and family didn't have a clue. Gabe knew something was wrong, but he needed help........

.........Present Day..........

It was 7 in the early night. The sun was still barely up, shining a bright orange across the sky. A car was driving, a girl was roller skating, a van was speeding, a motorcycle roaring, a man walking, and a bike was being ridden. Gabe had called upon his friends to help him save Nevermore. At the entrance of the town, waiting, was........Kelsey the Mystic, Stewart the Detective, Eleanor the Jetsetter, Jacob the Daredevil, Gabby the Troublemaker, Giana the Record Producer, Rylan the Hippie, Amara the Superspy, and Claudia the Reporter.

Claudia got off her bike, Stewart and Eleanor got out of the car, Gabby rolled in on her skates, Giana, Amara, and Kelsey jumped out of the van, Jacob got off his motorcycle, and Rylan walked up to his friends. After arranging themselves, they were all waiting outside the entrance to the town, sitting out in the grass, a fire burning in the middle.

"Guys, where is Gabe?" Gabby asked the group.

"I don't know, he was supposed to be here like 10 minutes ago," Eleanor exclaimed.

GIANA THE RECORD PRODUCER: (We all have been waiting here for about 30 minutes, and I'm just thinking like, Gabe, I'm never letting you host a party because you obviously don't know how to treat your guests.)

"If I'm being honest, I thought this was like a role-playing game we were doing." Rylan laughed.

RYLAN THE HIPPIE: (I thought that this mission was just like a cool role-playing game. I didn't think it was actually a full-on mission.)

The group waited for another 3 minutes until Gabe walked up from the town entrance. They all erupted in cheers to see their friend. Everyone gave Gabe a greeting of some sort, then they got onto business.

"How have you been?" Kelsey asked Gabe.

"I've been fine, but my town needs your guys' help. Can you do it?" Gabe asked everyone.
