BAMBOO
After I parked my car, I hurriedly went to the Administration para mameet ang magiging student ko. Ilang taon na kaya yun? And ayos rin. I’ll have my personal time at home and 25% na mas mataas pa ang sahod.
I greeted Mr.Lee then sat down. “Okay, Mr.Manalac. Your student is 27 years old. So halos kaedaran mo lang. She’ll have a session with you every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. She agreed na sa bahay ka niya sa makapag-aral as long as hindi raw maingay. Salary everyday and in amount of 4,500 a day plus madadagdagan pa ng 25% ang salary mo dito sa school.” He explained.
I smiled, “Great, sir.” I replied.
“So, here are the papers. You can go now, sasabihan ko na lang siya na puntahan ka sa office mo.” He said. I get the papers then leave.
My office is quite far from here but okay lang. I looked once again the papers.
Galante itong studyante ko. Maybe, she badly want to learn. I could give her the learnings she’ll needed.
I was supposed to enter the building when I saw a very familiar girl, it’s her.
I silently cursed, “Shit. Why is she here?” I said then entered.
I sit in my swivel chair then run my fingers through my hair. What is the destiny up to? Bakit niya kami pinagtatagpo? I don’t understand.
I get my phone to check on Farry. Simula nung party 6 weeks ago, hindi ko pa siya nakikita.
She’s living with my grandparents because I cannot take her in my condo. Besides, ayaw niyang mag-aral dito sa university na pinapasukan ko. I don’t know why.
“Hey, Farry.” I greeted.
“Hey, bro. What’s up?” she said.
“Doing good, ikaw ba?” I said as I made my turn, nakatalikod sa may pintuan.
“Ayos rin, kuya. I miss you. Hehehe.” She chuckled.
I smiled, “I miss you too, Bituin. Mag-aaral kang mabuti, ok?” I reminded.
“Of course, kuya. I will. Ikaw rin, galingan sa trabaho.” She said. I heard knocks from my door. Probably my soon-to-be student.
“Okay. I have to go. Ingat. I love you.” I said.
“I love you too, kuya.” She said then ended the call.
I put my phone inside my pocket, “Come in.” I said.
I heard the door opened, “Hello.” Oh, God.
Am I hearing this correctly? I turned my swivel chair facing her.I think I suddenly froze when I saw who is this woman in front of me.
“Oh. Ikaw pala. Hello.” Lea said.
I closed my eyes then heaved a sigh. “So it’s you.” I said coldly.
“Yeah. It’s nice to see you again—“
“Hanggang kailan ka magpapanggap?” I cut her off.
“I’m sorry, what?” she asked once again.
I lifted my face then looked at her, “Ang sabi ko, until when will you pretend na you don’t know me?” I said with no expression.
She scoffed, “I don’t know you personally. We just met yesterday.” She answered.
I stood up then run my fingers through my hair , "Oh, please. I don't get the point kung bakit mo kailangang magpanggap na you don't know me. Para ano? Para maipamukha sa akin na hindi ako kawalan?" I said.
