Ch. 14: The Kiss

When Beca and Chloe's lips touched together, they both felt that warm, tingling sensation that they had both been longing for. It was the feeling they could only have when they were with each other. Sadly, the kiss ended almost as quickly as it happened. It did, however, last longer than just a regular friend kiss. When they separated, it took them a second to realize what they just did. It was almost impossible to believe it. Especially, since Beca had also realized how much she had longed to kiss Chloe again, and that she just did it without being Spider-Woman. Chloe didn't kiss her as Spidey, she kissed her real self, Beca Mitchell.

"Uh, sorry, oh I'm so embarrassed" Chloe sighed, her cheeks bright red.

"No no, don't be embarrassed" Beca eased, still hardly able to comprehend this was happening. "I just.. wasn't sure you wanted that... with me"

"Are you kidding? I've wanted that since the day I met you" Chloe stated and Beca's face lit up in a way that was unforgettable. Chloe had never, not even the other day, seen that look from Beca before, and it made her heart swell.

"R-Really?" Beca scoffed, her smile forming into a full grin.

"Totes" Chloe smiled and Beca chuckled.

The two just stood there smiling at each other for a moment. Until, Chloe looked past Beca with furrowed eyebrows. Beca followed her gaze out the window. She saw that Fat Amy had been, apparently, watching them. Upon realizing she was caught, the Australian just awkwardly smiled and waved before actually leaving the two this time. Beca and Chloe turned back to each other and laughed with shaking heads.

"It's just, I thought you were in love with Spider-Woman?" Beca asked.

Chloe hesitated for a moment, scoffing as her cheeks went red again.

"That's... more of an infatuation than love. You know, the girl and the hero who saved her? That kind of thing?" Beca slightly giggled from how sheepish the ginger seemed. "Besides, Spider-Woman isn't here. She's out there, probably with another damsel in distress. And she's not the one I really want to be with right now" she stepped closer to the brunette with a particular glint in her eyes.

Beca had that same glint in her own eyes as her smile grew wider and wider, and her heart started beating a little faster as well.

"So, this is what you wanted to talk to me about today?" she smirked.

"Uh..." Chloe nervously giggled. "More or less"

"More or less?" Beca asked and they both grinned.

"Yea, well, I didn't think it would happen this way. But, this way still works" she shrugged, both ladies leaning closer to each other.

"Yea, works very well" Beca nodded and then they both giggled before finally reconnecting their lips.

This time, the kiss was just as great as, if not greater than, the one they shared last night. It was warm, sweet, loving, and passionate. And, to make it even better, it was Beca herself that was kissing her, and Chloe knew it too. This was not just another one of Spider-Woman's special moments, this was Beca's very own moment. Chloe had just expressed how much she wanted this, and Beca was now expressing it back. She had finally gotten the girl.

However, a minute later, something unexpected followed. Chloe broke away from the kiss with a sharp gasp, a look of shock on her face.

"W-What? What's wrong?" Beca asked, suddenly worried.

"Uh..." Chloe glanced between Beca's eyes and her lips. She just shook her head with a sigh and said, "Nothing"

Beca looked at her in confusion, but was brought out of it when Chloe resumed the kiss. She didn't know what to make of what just happened, but she wasn't going to waste any time thinking about it. She wrapped one arm around the ginger's waist and brought her free hand up to cup her cheek while Chloe wrapped both arms around her neck. The kiss started to grow more passionate and heated as it improved. Beca even felt the need to take things a little further by sucking in the ginger's bottom lip, running her tongue along it and giving it a little nibble. Chloe hummed as she pulled away, biting her botton lip.
