Everyone stared in awe and horror as this strange flying person they were trapped with hovered over the stage. Beca peaked down across the room and saw Chloe in the same spot she left her in, staring up at their captor same as everyone. Beca then turned to see that there was a small gap between the bleachers and the wall right next to her. She quickly ran to it and hid before Chloe could glance down and see that she hadn't left. Beca had to suit up without anyone seeing her and get to work fast. She didn't know this guy or what his deal was, but she was fairly positive this wasn't just some Halloween prank.

"Greetings ladies and gentlemen!" the flying figure said in a big, deep, echo-y voice. It sounded like the typical voice of an 80s cartoon villain, deep, brony and macho.

"It is I... Mysterio! Here to bring you the greatest show you have ever seen! The greatest tricks, the best of treats! And most importantly, terror to those in most deserving" he glanced down towards the Trebles, who were all fearfully lying down on the floor of the stage, slowly attempting to crawl back to safety.

Beca had gotten her costume off and her gloves on, her boots and web shooters already on, and now just needed the mask and she was good. The only problem was, she couldn't find the mask. She meant to hide it in her hat, but it wasn't there. She checked all through the costume, but found it nowhere. She must've been so caught up in the costume and the party that she forgot it.

"Seriously?!" she silently shouted to herself. "Out of all things, the mask?!"

This was a major problem for Beca. If she went out there and faced that Mysterio guy now, she would risk exposure, even with the dim lighting and smoke in the room. She needed some other way to mask herself. Then, it hit her. She was at a Halloween bash, there was plenty of masks in this room, one in particular she already knew of. She peaked around the corner of the bleachers and down to where the ginger was. She had dropped her mask and it was laying by her feet.

"You Treblemakers have put on your last self-glorifying performance of deceit and annoyance, and have caused enough harm and shame for your own false image and pleasure. And now, it is time that you met your long awaited doom!"

As he spoke, smoke was streaming out of his suit. Then, by the time he was finished, flames had suddenly erupted out of the smoke, forming a giant man-like figure made of nothing but flames. The audience screamed as they charged for the doors and Beca knew she had to move fast. Thankfully, she snatched Chloe's mask away before the stampede occured and pulled it on swiftly. It didn't go as nicely with her suit and looked slightly cheesy, but it worked just as well. Even more thankfully, Beca was right next to the switch for the fire alarm, which also set off the overhead water sprinklers. Before Mysterio and his pyro giant could engulf the Trebles, Beca pulled the switch and activated the sprinklers. It seemed like she hit it too late; but when the flames retracted from the stage, none of the Trebles were hurt. They scurried off the stage and joined the rest of crowd in trying to get away. The flames withdrew all the way until the menace himself was once again visible. Spider-Woman got through the crowd and broke the doors down to let everyone escape. She then jumped and shot off a web to begin swinging towards her new villain. Mysterio though was ready for the woman who had just spoiled his plans.

He hovered to the side as she came swinging up with a kick. He then retaliated by shooting actual lasers at her. Spider-Woman managed to avoid the lasers, but her Spidey senses still weren't working. It didn't make any sense to her, they should have been alerting her of everything that was happening. This fight was going to be much more difficult without her working senses. She would have to be exceptionally vigilant. She latched to the wall she fell towards before pouncing to the next wall to avoid the lasers again. She was able to get a quick glance at Chloe leaving with the others before switching her focus back to her adversary. It was right on time too as Mysterio seemed to be creating a ball of lightning and threw it at the web slinger. This guy certainly had some nifty tricks up his sleeve. Spidey avoided the electric blast by jumping off the wall and swinging away. She continued swinging around the gym as Mysterio threw whatever tricky attacks he could at her. She made sure to stay high enough so none of the remaining people would get hit. Before long, Mysterio gave up on his trick shots and started setting off bombs attached to the roof. They weren't quite close enough to affect the brunette, but the size of the blast and amount of metal depris most definitely could. Spider-Woman managed to avoid the blasts and depris that followed, but not having her Spidey senses made it much harder. The blasts and depris were too close, so she had to end this soon. As she swung, she got closer and closer to the mysterious villain, no pun intended, and further away from the blasts. She swung around one last time, quick enough to where Mysterio lost track of her, and executed a hard straight kick.
