'Scott' Jeff says breaking our hug 'what are you doing here?'
'I'm hiking with the boys. I told you last night at the party but you told me you didn't know if you were coming' he says back coming closer to us smiling as always.
In a matter of seconds I see heath, jason and Matt coming behind Todd.
'What are you two doing here?' He asks us.
'We were both awake and decided to come here' I reply smiling. I'm just dying inside.
Nobody seems to really care about what just happened and everyone behaves normally.
Everyone other than Matt. Predictable though.
Maybe they didn't even notice how close we were.
I pretend like nothing happened and keep hiking with them. We have the greatest time together. I don't even feel like Matt's here.
He's behaving like the old Matt I knew.
Actually I am the one who has to wait for Heath to sit on a rock and rest every 10 minutes.
When we are almost at the end of the hike he starts;
'Baby who are you fucking with?'
'What?! What do you mean?' I ask him confused.
'You got two of the biggest hickeys I have ever seen in my life' he answers.
'Heath!!' I didn't even cared this morning to cover them because I was with Jeff.
'I want to know everything' he says.
'Heath it's nobody important' I say covering the hickeys.
He looks at me with a weird look.
'C'mon for real. I don't want to talk about it' I say.
'Okay but you know I'll find out. You know Zane told me to keep an eye on you while he was out of town'
'Oh god!' i say standing up and continuing to walk frustrated and embarrassed.
As we arrive in the parking lot everyone is already there waiting for us.
'Guys I need something to eat before I pass out' Heath says.
'There's a Starbucks not too far from here' Jeff suggests.
'Okay lets go than' Scott replies.
'Guys I'm not coming I have to work' Matt says.
Perfect I would say.
As we all go to our cars I try to look at Jeff's neck. Fuck. He has a hickey too.
I'm pretty sure Heath is going to put two and two together very quickly.
We arrive at Starbucks and we park the car.
