hello this is a interview of Lydia161290

What made you want to write the wolf cave from the beginning?

Well, the idea came to me when I was in work. Believe it or not I was doing laundry at the time and I was listening to the radio, can't remember what the song was, but I started thinking. I suppose the idea of doing something involving a club and werewolves had always been in the back of my mind for a while. When I got home I just started writing whatever came to my head and it went on from there. To answer your question, I suppose you could just say it just came to me.

What or who inspired the book?

No one inspired me, like I said, it just came to me and I just developed it into what it is.

Most writers in books usually make the girl a not as strong person who finds someone then grows stronger. What made you want to have her as this strong amazing character?

Mainly the reason you've just said. I didn't like the idea of making my female character weak. I wanted someone to take the werewolf world by storm. I wanted my main character to have a bit of a backbone, especially with everything she has to go through in the story. Obviously Layla has her flaws.

 What inspired your characters?

Hmm, creating my main characters wasn't an easy thing to do. Layla was the easiest, I just put a lot of me in her and got what I got. Colton was probably the hardest, he's actually based on my fiance, but I added my own bits to him too. I wanted Colton to be determined, hard working and good at what he does - but underneath it all he's lost and needs Layla more than he knows. Toby was just inspired by Rob Devita, and Ray, I wanted Ray to be the older, hard-knock brother with tattoos and a potty mouth. Just someone people could grow to like.

 Who is you favorite character?

Hmm, I love all my characters. I suppose my answer is Colton, not because he's hot, or part fiance, just because he's just a great guy underneath all his dark side.

Why did you make Ray leave at the end of the book instead of staying with his sister?

I thought it was Ray's time to leave. He has his own story to tell and to me, he's outgrown the wolf cave. It's not the last you've seen of him, or Toby.

Colton has this huge past tell me how did you even come up with that idea In the first place?

I think I just couldn't help myself. I'm a dark horror writer deep down, and I wanted to drag some of that into this story. I wanted something horrific, I wanted to make people see why this guy is the way he is - what he had to see and go through so they could understand this isn't just an ordinary romance story. It's dark and vicious, especially in book 2. The idea came naturally, which I suppose is kind of creepy on my part, but it was very easy to imagine something like that.

Why haven't you opened up even more of his past?

Because I don't want to ruin his character. I started him off as the dark and mysterious guy, I wanted to keep him that way. He's not the mushy type to sit there and tell all of his darkest and deepest secrets. He doesn't just open up to people like that. I don't want to lose the element of surprise for when he does come out and say something. I guess you could say he isn't a simple person.

Why did you not want Layla to go through the normal transition of becoming a werewolf?

That's just the plot really, I could have been really easy and made less drama by just turning her into a werewolf with no complications. But, being me, I couldn't.

About your sequel, any heads up? Should we be holding our breath because something big is coming at us?

Oh yes, hold onto your hats! It's pretty dark, the things I have planned will probably shock people!

Can you give us a clue about what is install for it?

Expect the unexpected, the idea's I have are far from anything i've ever delved into before and it's challenging me as a writer. There's twists and turns, new characters, Marcus and Layla's gran. I'll be delving into the world of werewolves more.

You have many fans that are basically admiring everything you are writing. People say that you are their top authors. I have to ask how does it feel? Do you ever feel pressure at times because they are expecting so much from you?

I wouldn't say it's pressuring me, it's more overwhelming that people out there think that. It's a good feeling, it's nice to know people are enjoying my stories that I don't mind sharing for free. I'm not a perfect writer, and my stories aren't perfect either so really they put up with a lot.

And finally I have to ask team wolf or team vamp?

Team wolf of course ;)
