A lot to take in

After a ten minute walk of awkward stares by other people as they passed, the four of them arrived at what looked to be there first class, ran by a Professor G. Valintean  . "Looks like this is our first stop." Alice said while looking at the door in front of them. "Yeah well shouldn't we be going inside it then?"  Elise said as he started to open the door. "Well yeah that's the reason we are here, if we didn't have to be here I'm sure Asuka would be asleep as we speak." Alice said as she started to follow Elise with Miss Yuuki and Asuka groggily trailing behind the three of them. "Hurry up Asuka we wanna see what seats we have before the others show up,  well hoping we are here earlier than the others." Alice said as she went to open the door to the classroom. 

Opening the door both Alice and Asuka was met with a familiar walkway to an open area with a front desk and a board on the wall behind it. Around them all they could see was rows and rows of seats with each row being higher up than the last. Before anyone could say anything about how they was the only ones in the room they heard the door they had entered in slam shut with a  extremely large man now blocking the way. "Who said you could just walk into my room without someone permitting you entrance to said room!" The man shouted slightly scaring  Miss Yuuki. "So I take it that you are Professor Valintean?" Elise asked not even phased by the man that stood before them. "Are you some sort of..." before he finished he stopped, cleared his thraot and started again. "Yes I am and I take it that you four are the new students that are meant to be joining us today?" Professor Valintean asked. "Yes we are, I'm Alice, the guy is Elise, my blue haired friend is Asuka and the shy one over there is Rose." Alice said. "Well it's a good thing you are here a whole hour early." Professor Valintean started only to be interrupted by Asuka complaining. "Wait I was woken up a whole hour early, what the hell Alice what is wrong with you?" All she got was both Alice and Elise looking at her and then back at Professor Valintean. "As I was saying, it's a good thing you are here early as my lessons are different to the rest of the classes in the school which range from actual combat practice to studying about different beasts that could be encountered in the wild, whereas my class is strictly full of us humans and is about testing a new theory one of our Headmasters has come up with as well and strengthening you up so that you can compete with some of the other races in this academy." Professor Valintean stated entreating Elise as to what he could be on about, and once again scaring Miss Yukki. "What is that theory that you are testing?" Elise asked. "Well it will be easier to explain if you lot have an understanding of the world outside the walls and the races that are out there." Professor Valintean said. "Me and Asuka lived outside the walls for a while so we know enough." Elise said, answering Professor Valintean's question before he could even ask it. "Good, but do the know about the fact that the other races can perform magic?" This caught Miss Yukki and Asuka by surprise. "Yes I do." Elise said, though it seemed like it pained him to say it. "Well that makes this really easy then. The Headmaster believes that we humans have dormant magical abilities that can be awoken through different stimuli, some pain, some emotional, some good, some bad." That took all but Alice by surprise. "Wait what, your telling me that we could use magic if we was put through torture?" Asuka asked. "Not exactly though that is one possibility, others could just be the loss of someone dear or another could be finding the love of your life, it's different per person, and each persons magic is difference, well at least in theory as we haven't fully got it working as no-one has lived long enough to find a way to control their magic, and no that wasn't because of what we put them through." Professor Valintean said what he said, scared Miss Yuuki and made her question what she had gotten herself into and before she could ask anyone what they thought of this she realized that Elise was missing and Alice was leaving through the door. "Wh-where is Alice going?" Miss Yuuki managed to ask. "She went after Elise who walked out the door moments before her." Asuka responded. "Is it okay to be excused for this lesson as this is a lot to take in?" Asuka asked Professor Valintean. "I will allow it this time and this time only." Professor Valintean said. "Th-thank you." Miss Yukki said as she walked towards the door. "The only problem is, how are we gonna find the others?" Asuka asked Miss Yukki while stood in a completely empty hallway. "I-I don't know." Miss Yukki said while looking at the ground.

"Elise, Elise slow down a bit." Alice said while struggling to keep up with Elise who already made it a few hallways away form their room. " Seriously slow down a second it's only you and me here so please just slow down because it somehow took you 2 minutes to do what we did in 10 minutes." Alice said while panting after every other word. "I'll stop when I get to our room." Elise said as he turned to see the door to their room, and with seeing that Elise just went and opened it up and sat down on his bed looking at his hands. "Why are you looking at your hands?" Alice asked. "You already have an idea about it though don't you?" Elise asked back. "What do you mean?" Alice asked honestly curious as to what he's on about. "You already knew about the magic stuff, so I believe you are working with the Headmasters, plus you saw what happened when I dropped the bags." Elise said without taking his eyes from his hands at all. "Well I have been living here so yes I do already know about magic so of course it isn't news to me, as for the rest of what you said you are gonna need to clarify on that." Alice said trying to defend herself. "I'm not stupid the Headmasters always send the invites two months before the start of the academic year and they send it by mail, plus the fact Asuka is here and was following us before we got here, that was you, so something is going on and I would like to know what the hell it is." Elise said while now staring Alice right in the eyes as she was sat across from him. "I'm surprised you caught on so fast, Hazama must have taught you well." Alice said giving up trying to defend herself. "Well he definitely taught me that he's a major league asshole as he is no longer helping us." Elise stated as he could tell Alice knew more than what she was saying. "Any reason why that is?" Alice asked with a bit of curiosity. "He didn't trust the invites since they was sent after the start of the academic year which never happens when it comes to this school so he told us if we go then we are on our own which we are as we took up the offer, but that's all I'm telling you." Elise said while looking back and forth between his arms and Alice. "Is that because I'm not telling you everything I know Elise, or should I call you Jinx like that big lug that works for Hazama calls you." Alice said with a bit of a grin as she knew that would get his attention. "How long have you been watching us?" Elise asked while now looking Alice dead in the eyes. "For about two weeks less than the time that you've been getting in the way of whoever is causing all the commotion in town, and I must admit you look a lot better without the mask on though I would like to see those silver eyes of yours, Asuka was wondering why you would hide them." Alice said with now an even bigger grin than before. "So you know about that, both who I was and my eyes." Elise said while trying not to pin Alice to the wall. "Yes I do..." "So this is where you two have been?" Asuka asked as she entered the room interrupting Alice. "Yeah this is where we have been." Alice answered being a bit disappointed that she didn't get to continue her conversation with Elise. Before saying anything else Elise got up and walked over to his bags and took something out of it before coming back and sitting back down. "What did you...?" Alice tried to ask a question but Elise just put a single finger up in her direction before proceeding to take off the colored contacts he had in to reveal his silver eyes while putting the contacts back in the case which he had just gotten up to get out of his bag. "There are you happy now?" He asked Alice just as Miss Yuuki walked into the room. "Hey guys is everything al....." Miss Yuuki began saying before falling backwards onto the floor to then get up and run out of the door. "Rose wait where are you  going, and no point as she's already gone." Asuka said before sitting down on Alice's bed. "I'm going after Rose you two stay here." Elise said as he put his contacts back in. "Okay see you two later." Alice said as Elise was walking out of the door closing the door behind him. "So what did you find out?" Asuka asked. "That he looks so much better without the contacts in." Alice answered while smiling at Asuka.
