Bang. Bang. Bang. The horrible, loud sounds echoed menacingly around her. Gunshots. Bang. Bang. Another two shots were fired, and one pinged off of something metal.

Meghan Harries screamed, but it came out muffled. She had something stuffed inside her mouth, a rag of some sort. Her eyes had been blindfolded and her arms and legs were binded together; she was completely immobile.

"What's that?" The voice said, a bitter laugh following. "I'm sorry, but I didn't quite catch what you said."

Meghan screamed again, the fear about to explode out of her. Her heart was pounding inside her chest, ready to burst. She didn't know where she was, or how she had ended up tied up and gagged. The last thing she remembered was being in college and in the girls' room and then a sharp jab in her neck had taken her by surprise.

"You see, Meg, you're here for a reason. But I really don't think you know why, do you? Well, I'll let you in on one thing. I've used 5 bullets. I have one left. Guess where that last one is going?" The voice chuckled.

Meghan screamed again and threw herself to the side, the chair she was bound to toppled, hitting the hard, cold floor, her head making contact with a horrid sounding crack. But she felt no pain. She was so scared, that the fear blocked it all out.

"Now that was silly," the voice muttered, "but you can stay that way, uncomfortable. It's what you deserve."

The sound of footsteps fading away was the last thing Meghan heard before she lost consciousness.
