After she'd signed up for Baking Class, a boy with geeky looking glasses approached Meghan and asked if she'd had her photo taken yet for her I.D Card. She said no and he gestured her to follow him to a few tables down, where a large cardboard sign in front of the table read out 'Get Your I.D Cards Here!' She posed for the camera and the boy nodded at her.

"Let me just print this out and laminate it for you. You'll need this card to access the entrance to the college if you ever leave," he smiled, waiting for the machine to print out her I.D. Once that was done he ran it through the laminator and then handed it over to her. "All done."

Meghan said thanks and carried on making her way around Orientation, until she spotted a table with fifteen beautiful blonde girls, all giggling and looking very happy. The fancy notice board that was to the side of their little booth read 'Omega Phi Delta' in fancy pink swirls. One of the girls spotted Meghan looking at the board and waved her over.

Meghan approached the table and smiled. "Hi," she said, "I guess this is the most sought after sorority in this college, huh?"

The girl giggled. "Well, duh. Omega Phi Delta is the best. As you can already probably tell, all of the girls in our sorority are blonde." She looked Meghan up and down and smirked. "Now, you could be a brilliant candidate for our sisterhood."

Meghan shook her head. "Oh, no, I wasn't going to pledge."

All of the girls stopped what they were doing and stared at Meghan. "Excuse me?" One of the other girls said, pushing past the first girl who'd spoken. "And why not?"

Meghan shrugged. "I didn't mean your sorority, I meant in general. It's never really bothered me, you know?"

The girls all gasped in unison. "Well, maybe if you came over to our house, you'd change your mind. I'm Hannah Baxter by the way. I'm the head sister. And trust me, new girl, we never invite anyone to our house."

"I'm Meghan, Meghan Harries, and seriously, it's okay, I-" But Hannah cut her off.

Hannah stared at Meghan with one perfectly shaped eyebrow raised. Then she cleared her throat.

"So, say tomorrow, 8a.m sharp. You have no classes for a week anyway. Obviously, I don't need to tell you which house it is." Hannah nodded and turned back to the other girls, dismissing Meghan.

Getting into bed that night, Meghan thought it would be a good time to check out her timetable for her classes next week. Monday morning she had Math 9 a.m to 11 a.m, then an hour break, then Baking class at 1.p.m to 2.p.m, another break until half two then English at 2.30 p.m until 4.30p.m. She decided she'd nip into town tomorrow morning to pick up some stuff for the classes and the drab room she now called 'home'.

She glanced over at Callie's bed which was still empty. It was 10.p.m. She was probably out partying somewhere, as it was Freshers week after all. Meghan rolled over onto her side and closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Waking up to her alarm at 7.45 a.m the next morning, Meghan sat up in bed and stretched. With a yawn, she looked over to the other side of the room and saw Callie sprawled out asleep on her bed, her clothes from yesterday still on her.

Big night was it? Meghan thought with a little laugh. She took her pajamas off and went to choose an outfit from her wardrope. It was quite a sunny morning, so she decided to wear her new thin, pale blue sweater and a pair of black jeans. She chose a pair of black sandals and nodded at her reflection in the mirror that hung on the wardrope's door. She then grabbed her wash bag and her vanity case and made her way down the hall to the wash room. After giving herself a wash and brushed her teeth, she pulled her hair up into a bun and tied it. She then dabbed on some pale pink lipbalm on her full, rosebud shaped lips and a little mascara on her eyelashes. That will do, she thought and then exited the wash room back to her room. As she pushed open the door, a folded up peice of paper on the floor caught her eye. Kneeling down, she picked it up and tucking her cases under her arm, she unfolded the paper curiously. She had a shock when she read out the words on the paper. YOU NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM OMEGA PHI DELTA it said, and it was typed in big, block letters. Meghan re-read it but then thought nothing of it. It was probably just a joke. Someone must have seen her talking to the Omega girls yesterday and thought they'd play a prank. Doesn't matter anyway, Meghan wasn't going to go to their house, she was going to head straight into town, find a mall and do some shopping.

She scrunched up the note and tossed it in the trashbin, grabbed her car keys and left the building. Just as she got out onto the steps of Becker Hall's main doors, she saw Hannah standing there, her arms crossed against her chest, her dark green eyes narrowed.

"It's 8.15. You're late. Never mind, though, you can catch a ride with me instead," Hannah said with a big smile, revealing her perfect set of dazzling white teeth. "Follow me, my car's just around the corner."

"I was actually on my way to town-" Meghan began to say but Hannah stopped her.

"Whatever, you can do that later. You're coming with me now," she said, walking ahead of Meghan, her blonde curls bouncing with every step she took.

Sighing, Meghan followed Hannah to a bright pink BMW convertible. Raising an eyebrow, Meghan watched as Hannah got behind the driver's wheel.

"Don't just stare, get in," Hannah said, pushing open the passenger door. "The girls are waiting."
