8- Court

Today was the trial, my mom was only in jail for a day. I have 0 clue about law, I never studied or cared about it but I was just told to speak on everything I knew.

We were in the court room, it smelt of cleansed wood and car smell. Annie hasn't talked to me since I uploaded the video and Hayden was a little weirded out but we talked about it and he was proud that I spoke up. 

"Lilliana you may now speak on your behalf." the judge said. I gulped. I was nervous.

Did I really want my Mom to go to jail? Or was I just jealous?

I went up to the podium

Time froze. "April 18th 2010, your first solo in a dance competition, it was quite the show.. I was there, Dad was there, but Mom stayed and watched Annie's gymnastics class." Caleb said. I looked down, "How did you feel?" He asked. "Worthless, Sad.." I said. "October 1st.." Caleb began. "Don't.." I said. "October 1st 2015. How did you feel when I died." He said.

"It was the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire life." I said. "I know.. How about when Annie one choice dancer, and performed dances.. Did you feel betrayed?" Caleb asked. "I did." I said. "How did you feel when Annie and Mom left to pursue a career." He said. I felt a feeling in my heart. "Jealous. Mom took my best friends away to do everything i've ever wanted.. without me, Caleb. you're a ghost, this has to be spiritual in some way.. Why are you asking?: I asked him. "It's okay to be jealous. But remember every time Mom has nurtured you, made you feel whole, helped you when you were sick. Her leaving Hayley and Annie does not make her bad, you have to think for the ones you love Lilly." Caleb said. I closed my eyes

Every thing she'd ever done.

I was jealous, and selfish. I was ruining her life.

"Lilliana Leblanc you have made a bold statement of your mother Katie neglecting you, I need the story." The judge said.

"Your honor.. I disagree with my statement." I said.

Everyone gasped.

"My Mom and sisters left for their career, turns out I was a huge asshole about it. My Mom created me and Annie, for 9 months she held me and cared for me. She helped me when I was sick, Comforted me when I was injured. She showed up for as many events as she can, I was jealous. She was not the best mother to me compared to Annie, She did very messed up things and yes I can say in a form I was neglected but not to the point of dying, Neglected to the point of wanting attention which is not nearly as bad as anything.. My Mother is innocent as much as it hurts me to say. She did not commit crime. And moving on is a new chapter in life we need to take on." I announced. 

This was the day my whole life change. 

My Mom was declared innocent by the court and we began to build our relationship..


My Dad agreed not to share my statement in court which prevented me from getting hate. And I was not allowed to start my social media platform, I had many ideas..

The next week

We were outside, Hayley snapped a picture of me with her camera. "Is it good enough?" I asked. 
"Instagram model material!" She said. "I cleared my instagram account.. Changed my username I need something bold to post Hayley!" I said. "Bold is the only word you want people to describe you as, huh!" She said. "Shut up" I giggled. "Send that picture to me." I said. When I got the picture I posted it, I had already 2 million followers.

Hope called me. "Are you going to pick that up Lilly?" Hayley asked. "I have a missed call from Kenzie Ziegler, who would've thought my childhood hero would be dialing me up?!" I said. 

"Are you sure you're not letting this rush of fame get to your head just a little?" Hayley asked.

Kenzie picked up the phone. "Hey!" I said.

I heard what Hayley was saying.

Am I becoming like Annie already?
