13- The Plan

I settled into the new place. It was the old LA place from the vlogs. Annie was sent straight to a dance studio to learn the routine more. She watched the video over and over and over on the plane ride. She was determined to get it right. It wasn't like we were getting a long amazingly just yet but things were better.

"Annie." I said on the phone.
"We need a plan, Like how am I going to look like you?" She asked.

"Okay, So all you need is blonde hair extensions and green contacts, I'll call my stylist and explain everything. This is all about you though. How's the dance?" I asked.

"It's really hard but I know most of it, Just need to run it over a lot. I'll have it solid by tomorrow." Annie said.

"But that's the day before the show. Are you sure you know everything? The crowd pleasing, the clapping? When the effects go off?" I asked.

"Maybe. I'm going to look into that a lot more.. I know it's been so long since we actually talked. Is it weird for me to ask you how you're feeling?" she asked.

"This is about you right now. You're going to pretend to be your identical twin don't think about me." I said.

"I've done so many shows so many times. You've wanted this for your entire life and when you get one show.. You just have to watch me do it. I feel bad." Annie said.

"if you really want to know how I'm feeling.. I start school in 2 weeks. I have a new life here, and also. this whole show with Hayden. I felt bad about doing it anyways." I said.

"Just remember I still care about you Lilly, I have to get back to practice I'll text you!" She said and hung up

I sat on my bed, a bunch of boxes were around. I left my stylist a message

"Hey Natalie so I have an emergency, I got hurt and can't perform I'll make sure to put in 20% extra if you can get blonde hair extensions and green contacts similar to my eye color because Annie is doing the show for me. Call me if you have any questions!" I said.

That day I began shopping for school.. It was scary because I haven't been to a school since I was 8 or 9. I've just been home schooled since.

We went to target and I didn't know what backpack to get so I just got a plain pink one. But all of my binders were either white or black. I was only going to be a freshman. The school starts at 7th grade though, So I was going to be obviously a new girl.

I held a list in my hand but it was kind of hard trying to get around on crutches and hold it at the same time. I was going through the aisles while my Mom was getting another basket.

I dropped the list and a girl with red hair picked it up, She looked to be my age.

"Hey you dropped this." She said.

"Thanks. Just put it in the cart." I said.

"You go to Meredith Academy?" She asked.

"Oh, Yeah. I'm about to. I just moved from Maryland." I said.

"No way you're Lilly Leblanc right? What happened aren't you performing at August Fest?"" She asked.

"I wasn't planning on putting it out,  have to get surgery in a few days and I can't dance but trust me it's going to happen.. And it's going to be a good show. Just remember I'm a twin. And that makes things get done." I said.

She looked impressed weirdly.

"So basically Annie is going to dress like you?" She asked.

I nodded.

"Hey What grade are you in?" I asked,

"Ninth, You too right?" She asked.

"Yeah actually." I said.

"You're a huge buzz and by the way I'm going to keep it secret about the whole Annie thing because I know you want people to think it's actually you. I'm no blabber mouth." She said.

"Thank you so much. I wanted to wait for people to know that I got hurt. It'd suck if I couldn't make people proud." I said.

"Oh you didn't catch my name, How stupid of me.. I'm Autumn. Welcome to LA!" Autumn said brightly.

We shook hands. 

"Thanks!" I said.

"I'm stoked for you to come to meredith, It's kinda dry but our sports teams are dope." Autumn said.

"It was cool to meet you!" I said. 

"Oh, I gotta go. But see "you" on friday! I'm going to august fest with a few friends!" She said.

"Bye!" I said.

I had a doctors appointment right after we went shopping,

We found a new doctor because obviously we moved states.

"Alright. So when were you supposed to get surgery?" The doctor asked.

"Oh next week," I said.

"I was thinking sooner than that. You're not in the right shape to wait that long. The injury happened yesterday but to keep everything safe I think you should have it soon, which puts the healing in a better place.. Friday is the best day. Every other day would be far too hectic" She said.

My mom this time actually cared about my health and safety so she agreed to the idea.

I would miss the show!
