10- Stars I see.

I sat in the office of a talent agency discussing ideas for my future. 

A man named "Matt" talked to me. I would be seeing him a lot more. He would be one of the people helping me get gigs.

"Alright Lilly, So. There's an amazing show in a few weeks and I want you to perform with Hayden Sumerall, which I've heard has been staying with you." The Man said.

"Oh. Yeah he has but he's dating my sister." I said.

"Can you sing?" The man asked.

"A little.. I'm a really good dancer though."  I said shyly. My mom sat next to me. 

"Give me more details about this show." I said.

"Oh. It's a music festival in LA but there are going to be a lot of teens and kids from like 12 to 18 there. it's hosted by Rock Your Hair. The company that took in your sister, And there are going to be a lot of influencers there. I want you to perform an original number with Hayden at that show." he said

"When will I practice? I have dance." I said.

"Every week day and we can start this week if you want. Put dance aside for now." Matt said.

LA.. Not too bad. I really like dance but I was starting to become a celebrity now. 

"LA? How long will I be staying there?" I asked.

"A few days if you're going there just for the show but your Mom also has plans." The man said.

"Lilly so.. I know you have dance and all but. How do you feel about moving to LA for a couple of months, maybe a year or so? The more professional gigs you do, The more reach out. This is good for you." Mom said.

I thought.. Everything I have in my life. 

I zoned out. All of my friends, my family. My normal life. I can finally be famous if I leave this town.

"Lilly. So.. how do you feel about LA?" She asked

"I like the idea. LA. Here I come!" I said.

There was one thing to get out of the way. Hope, So I skated to her house.

i knocked at hope's door. She answered. "What do you want?" She asked. "Hope.. I'm sorry I haven't been able to hang out. And I'm sorry I'm just so different right now.. This is what I wanted for my whole life. I'm sorry.  Can I have another chance?" I asked. "You got your braces off?" She asked. 

It was part of the whole makeover thing..

"Oh.. I, i got them off a few days ago because that leads to another thing I came here to tell you." I said. "I'm listening.." Hope said. "I'm moving to LA for a few months. I'm leaving in a few weeks and I just wanted you to know how much I'm going to miss you." I said.. I started tearing up. Hope was wiping her eyes and I realized she was crying.

"I"m so sorry I was mad.. I was just jealous and I thought you were turning into Annie. I used to be friends with her and I didn't want to lose another friend.

"Hope.. You're not going to lose me. You know that. I only have a few weeks until the official move" I said.

"Come in.." She said. We went into her room. she never took down the pictures of us.

"You still have our pictures?" I said. "I never wanted to hate you. It was Natalia." Hope said. I pulled hope into a hug. "Just know that you're not going to lose me. Okay? Even if I have blonde hair, straight teeth and smell like a prostitute." I said. "You really didn't smell that bad!" Hope joked.

We laughed. it was great to have my best friend back but now it was time to prepare for this show.

I started rehearsal with Hayden the next day.

It was kind of strange to try singing but I realized I was actually really good at it. The dance was coming together nicely and they even had an original song written for both of us. I was stoked to be officially famous!

After a few days I completed the number. 

It happened again.. it's been quite a while. Everything froze.

"Hey." I heard. I turned around. "Hi Caleb! Can't you see! Everything is going amazing!" I said. "Lills don't get your head too far up your butt. You have to remember who you actually are.. a caring person don't let this attention wash you away." He said. "But this is my time!" I said. "It's been your time for 15 years even if you didn't get attention try putting some good into the world!" Caleb said. "Am i really that bad?" I asked. "I'm just looking out for you up there y'know." He said.
