Chapter XII

Jungkook fiddled with his fingers. The silence stretched throughout the room. Jungkook could feel everyone's eyes on him. He hated this kind of attention. Jungkook had an urge to cry. He felt so small under the eyes of his members. He opened his mouth and closed it again, not really knowing what to say. He looked away and stared at the floor. What should he say? If he told them what he was going through, the members wouldn't remember the next day, so what was the point? He could lie? But the members would immediately see through the lies, wouldn't they? 

Jungkook bit his lip and shook his head. He took a deep breath. A warm hand patted his back. Hoseok stood behind him, with a lollipop in his hand. 'I think you need one right now. Which one do you prefer strawberry, tutti-frutti or apple?' 

For a minute Jungkook didn't know how to react. Dumbfounded he took the apple lollipop and placed it in his mouth. The sour and bitter but mostly sweet aroma filled his mouth. Surprised, he grabbed another lollipop from Hoseoks hand, thanking him for the delicious sweets. 

Jungkook happily sucked on his lollipop, momently forgetting what he was going to say. He then realized that the 6 pairs of eyes still were on him. His heart sank. 

'I'm sorry, but this is really hard to say. I don't want to sound depressing or sad, but I guess I have to tell you the truth.' Jungkook gulped. 'I'm actually not sure what's going on either. I'm trying to figure it out, so when I tell you, please don't freak out.'

'Is he going through puberty?' Taehyung leaned over Yoongis shoulder. 

'No, idiot. Jungkook's 21, he's already been through puberty' Yoongi whispered back. 

'WHAT?! Really? But I thought he hadn't!' 

'Seriously?' 

'Yeahhh.'

'You know, I knew you were stupid, but not this stupid.'

'Lack of knowledge is not the same as stupid.'

'Yeah, yeah.'

'You know another reason could be that he realized that he was gay!' Taehyung exclaimed happily.

'Oh yeah. It's a wonder how he hasn't realized that yet when everyone else has.' Yoongi nodded. 

Jungkook stared at his feet, not hearing the conversation Yoongi and Taehyung were having. He was too occupied thinking. 

'I'm in a time loop.' Jungkook finally announced. 'I'm experiencing the same day over and over again. But if I do something different each day the everyday scenarios will vary too. It doesn't sound too bad, but no matter what I say or do, none of you will remember it. I want to make memories with you guys. Memories that you can remember too. Ha. You won't even remember this tomorrow, so what's the point anyway. Why did I tell you this? Forget it, oh you will anyway.' 

Jungkook felt wet streams on his cheek. He was alone. No one but he was in a time loop. No one but he remembered. He was the only one. A lone wolf. Why did he deserve this? What did he do? Why was he in a time loop? 

Hoseok handed him the last lollipop. 'Hey, it's ok. Let's talk about this later, right now you need to calm down.'
